If you should choose a durban,which one would you go with?
And here I mean all durbans & durban poisons!?:canabis:

...Straits!!

Pannonia

Afropips or from direct source from Africa.
All other Durban's are fake.

That's right^

I have a feeling the durban from "high quality seeds" might be true, but haven't tried it and I never see any reports on it.
"african seeds" used to have durban but they don't exist any longer.

Yeah like the others said, now African seeds Co. has shut down, ya best bet is afro pips.
I used to have severel different durban landraces (none from seedbanks, all bought back from S.Africa by travellers)

Yea African Seed Co was awesome, they had all sorts of landrace african genetics. Durban is a tough one to find the real deal of in the commercial seed world. Afro pips is your best bet but if you can really find someone who is SA, get the real deal beans from there. :joint:

I have a friend that ordered the DP version back in the 90's. He kept it for a few years and lost it but it was super-easy to grow and vote HUGE outside.

Thanks fer the replies guys,I've been thinking of making a cross with a durban,and was wondering which one was the best to use:I found this on another thread;
"some of the strongest weed we ever smoked however was a variety bought back (smuggled) from Amsterdam called 'Durban Lambsbread' . Just one joint of that stuff would get several people serious buzzing. Our own 'Landing Zone' (Durban x Jack Herer) had similar effects,, leading us to conclude that perhaps Sensi's 'Durban Poison' is the culprit in such madness".

Thanks to DocLeaf fer this.:tiphat:

I might look at this one too,wasn't aware that Sensi got a Durban Poison.

Yeah heard a lot about the Durban Thai Highflier,had the opportunity to get it a couple of years ago on an auction but the prize was way out of my league at the end.
But I've just seen this and it's really good news;

DTC99 f2 (Bros. Grimm DTC99 f1 x Bros. Grimm DTC99 f1).

I'm running this lady again. Last time she had barely started flowering but I had to chop. She should be pure, at least she acts like one. Easy to over-fertilize, but strong grower, thin leaves. Takes a long time to start flowering, around 3-4 weeks from clone after 12/12. Crosses made are very vigorous very up strong high. I never got to smoke any of this ready, but hopefully this time.

What about Paradise's Dutch Dragon? Lineage isn't listed by Paradise, but it is thought to be a Durban hybrid (see strain lineage sticky). I grew one out and it stretched like crazy, finished in 14-15 weeks, yielded huge, and produced some very potent smoke.

You're quite right there pinecone,just read this at Paradise's own site;Dutch Dragon, with her South African heritage, performs best in warm climates. She grows into a tall plant with smallish fan shaped leaves and thick fox-tail buds sounds durban fer sure!!

I only grew out one plant and it was a complete beast in terms of stretch, yield, quality of smoke, and (unfortunately) flowering time. I can't comment on the amount of variation - but mine didn't foxtail per the Paradise description. If you search through the forums you might find some folks that have grown out a bunch of these. I'm personally pop the rest of my pack soon.

The DD plant I grew out

If they by fox-tailing means an arm thick and an arm in length you're quite close to foxtail as I see it,wauuw that is a beast,thanks fer showing Pinecone.
