THE THINK TANK is a place for growers and fuck noobs 2 share ideas,diy,cheap maguyvers,hyteck hydros and other import growing info.
heres a idea under current tables ,smart table's,vert smart pot slabs,also ima post "free pots" for those that need to save or grow outs
also heated pots for the year round grow(i got you durdy ive been doing well ...nothing),also talking about diffrent growing methods,i.e. out door sog in 2 x 2 or 3's in the sun then to a climate controlled dark room (in or out doors idk idm).well thats it for now post away!peace

I posted my idea in the lighting forum but apparently nobody thinks the future of grow room lighting is very interesting...

It's in my signature.

The Idea is that HPS is the shit and all these bulb manufacturers are moving to HPS with more blue, so why not try using a $9 perfectly fine HPS bulb with a ton blue light from LEDs (which cost about $400)

The angled design was a great idea, the plants often look blue in the shadows, indicating that more blue light is reaching that area than other light. Penetration is pretty great so far.

seriously though, we got how many posts in the 250 watt club but nobody can tell me how my plants are doing under my new light?

i save money by using the resuable shoppin bags as pots, they are only 99 cents and are about 10 gallons...i rinse them first to make sure i get any chemicals out of the way. i have a few plants in them and there is no difference between them and the smartpots which run 3-5 bucks each.

If you can find them, Arizona iced tea 1 gallon jugs are like 10 times thicker than your average milk jug, much more durable.

what i have been told is that the night period is how a plant tells if its time to grow or time to flower
a short (0-6 hours) night means grow time
i have also heard that for each day cycle with hid lamps that a plant can only use a percentage of the lamp hours to do it chlorophyll thing
my "logic" is telling my that 6 hours on/6 hours off would keep a young plant vegging nicely
im gonna try it just to see on a future run
has anyon else??

This is the finest tool in my garden.I am in a confined area and without this thing,growing has been difficult to say the least.I always got bugs where I could not tend.
If you have the need and the means to build one,I highly recommend.

currently brainstorming:

veritical light mover

custom sized/shape reservoir made with pond liner

other stuff i love in my garden that you normally wont see:

shot glasses- for ph/tds samples
shot glasses- great to start seed/clones in (with dirt) (DIY rooters)
1 gallon buckets with clear wrap on top for ideal for starting clones/seeds
watering can with clear vinyl tube attached (extended flute on water can makes top offs easy!)

++Pineboys DIY lazy susan! awesome addition for small gardens! but i need to smaller rezs.
