I have marked the maximum/highest water depth of the upper box which is about 11,5cm deep.

Should I place the cuttings in rockwool cubes on top of the hydroton a few centimetres from the actual high water line?

Or should I place them in bigger cubes according to the blue dots?

Or should I place them in the small cubes to the red spots, just touching the high water?

Or just plant the cuts when rooted, bare-rooted to the yellow spots just touching the high water?

Placing B/W plastic of course on top of the whole thing..

Oh, going for 30 cuts in that roughly 60x60x11,5cm surface area.

I don't know what all these dots and colors are, but the rockwool should NOT remain wet.

Have the rockwool cubes just barely above the water line (max height) and hand water for a few days until the roots go down the bottom of the cubes and into the hydroton.

i would want the rw's as deep as possible to get a good watering, otherwise you will get salt biuld up and other nasties....like put the rws in then bury them in the hydroton. you have to me mindful of over-watering no matter where your cubes are.

this site will help you with ebb flw w/ rockwools-
