I have found when using as suggested your ppm will increase significantly. Try adding it first at a rate of 1.5 ml/g, you want to reach a ppm of 150-200. Then add the rest of your nutes. The recommended dose of 3-5 ml is overkill. hope this helps

I just used this stuff today for the first time. I added it at 1/2 strength, even a little less, and ppm's went up exactly 200.

I love Botanicare nutes...accept for that damn cal/mag...seems to always mess shit up when i feed :dunno:...i understand that many have to have a cal/mag additive ...my only suggestion is go light with it & mabey only use it on plain water day's.....

From my experience if you are using RO water you need to add a cal/mag additive. I like techniflora MagiCal the best but just about any will do. Just make sure to add it first to a ppm of 150-200 and you will be fine. I like to stay on the lower side of that range and have never had a deficiency since using it this way.

What up PTB ....the GH micro(FloraMicro) is 1 part of the 3 part flora series from General Hydroponics... it has all the cal/mag you need & when used with the flora bloom makes 1 hell of great mix...for more details look in Rez's forum for his 'Recipe'...

They make 2 types of micro...one is for if you have 'Hardwater....also if you use the stuff make sure you add it to your water first..then mix..then add your nutes....explains everything on the bottle...

Of all the different bottled nutes i've tried over the years this is the 1 formula i always goto when working with new strains...till i find out what they like most...

I'm starting up another bloom in coco and heard somethin about cloudy Cal Mag possibly being bad? If shaken its always been a bit cloudy for me, so I'm wondering if I got a bad bottle?

I use the GH Micro/Bloom for some 6/9 with supplements. If I dont add cal mag or use tap, I get yellowing and cal deficiencies.

I'd like to run R/O as I'm using myco's but if bad cal/mag is gonna screw things up I'll just have to bubble a shitload of tap apparently.

FloraMicro has 5% calcium. If I was to scrap the CalMag and use Micro to up the Cal to an acceptable level for my OG's and Sour D, it would put WAY too much N in the mix I'd imagine.

sorry for hijacking. Tryin to get some info on this quick too.

I dont think you should go to heavy on the micro just to ammend ur cal uptake problem...like you said it is heavy on the N .... i'ts been my experience that the micro has plenty of cal & mag for container plants...your's must be some real hogs...

Sorry i don't have an answer to help you... hopefully other's will chime in & help...

i run GH micro Bloom at 6/12 and still have the need for cal mag at 2.5 ML/gallon I think

Rez's recipe seems to be for DTW not recirculating

I calibrated my ppm and p.h. meter today and did a test on 0ppm r.o. water and got:
Fulvex at 3ml./gal. = 40ppm
CalMag+ at 3ml./gl. = 135ppm.
Fuvex and CalMag+ at 3 ml./gallon each = 175ppm
P.H. at 4.5 after adding Fulvex and CalMag+
6 drops of P.H. up from Botanicare brought P.H. to 7.2
PPM went from 175 to 183 after adding P.H. up.
