increasing gram per day on MMAR

hi all

i've recently almost entirely stopped smoking or vaping and am using edibles and hemp oil to treat my pain. recently involved in a car accident for 2nd time and now im pretty rattled and my dosage has gone far up and im using more than my 6g a day. my doc is onboard and willing to up my dosage but health canada forms are confusing. what do i need to do to up my daily gram dosage? renewal form or entire new application? normally i wouldnt have to renew for another 7 months but i need to get this done now

As long as your info is the same you just need to send in a renewal form.
You can ONLY use Form R - Renewal if:

You have already been authorized at least once using the complete package of new forms
AND
Nothing has changed since your last authorization (e.g. medical situation, physician information, residential and production address, storage site, security measures, etc.

Good luck with the phone call spent like 2 hours on the phone yesterday cause my criminal record check is 4 months old lol, leads me to believe the 6-8 month down to 6-8 week wait and hiring of new employees was just a rumour or HC announced it prematurely. Oh well the wait is on, signed a 25 and 50 coming.. can't wait to say goodbye to the stress..

that crim. record check procedure for DGs is gonna get stripped from the regs eventually. not looking forward to calling them myself but ever since they fired most of their call center employees i've found them to be alot more friendly. its like i imagine a cute toronto girl picking up instead of a pissed of montrealer

haha fuck them man, you should see my passport photos I look so grimey and stoned its pretty funny.

I also find the criminal record check for drug offences pathetic, you can be a rapist or murderer but if you have a drug offence you cannot be a designated grower what a joke.

i look like a straight up purse snatcher in mine. are you holdin a PPL or just DG'in for others? i want to take more on but the regs say i cant. im going to sign up another patient and when they reject me im going to take them to court so they can up the reg to 3. and then ill do another... to 4... thats what they did from 1 to 2. did you know the courts ordered HC to remove the entire section dealing with how many you can grow for but HC illegaly put it back in defying court orders by just adding +1 to their old numbers? they did it with the number of grows at one facility too. the legal system in this country is weird as hell

yeah. think about it. if one were to get busted say in 1999 when there was no MMAR or even in 2003 when the MMAR was officially declared unconstitutional by the courts or hell even up to 2010 march when the MMAR was finally technically constitutionally sound, you could have a crim. record for growing at the same time there was no consitutionally valid medical exemption. the lawyers for the VICS had the chance to argue that when they defended that dude Beren but for some reason they didnt. they could have removed marijuana from the CDSA entirely. but they just decided not to take it further. shit is strange.

Just applied for my DPL, It's pretty weird actually because the patient I signed for has DPL and but can't apply for PPL due to already having 2 patients. Whatever works for me...

yeah work the loopholes to make it fairer for you. my fave loophole is the greenhouse = indoor one... :laughing:

not sure if you got your answer already, but for the sake of anyone reading. If anything on your forms changes including dosage, you cannot use the renewal form, and must resubmit the package.

Address change can use renewal form if nothing else changes, and you notify
HC...

From HC website FAQ:

"Q7. What if the only piece of information that has changed from one year to the next is my address. Will I need to fill out the long form to renew? "

"A7. No. If the only change is your address, as long as the Marihuana Medical Access Division is notified, you can use the Short Form A - Renewal form if you have already been approved using the new forms."

I have af who wants me as his DG...he,s allowed 10g /day.He previously had someone else as a DG who ripped him so I said sure I,ll take it on.
We only sent in section D and not the whole long form? is this gonna screw things up?
I/he did send two passport photos along with my criminal record copy.
He previously had his card with 5 G/day and just got the new card at 10g./day,and we filled out section D for DG.So will the long form have to be filled out again or will just the Section D do with me as his DG?
Thanx for any help.

straight from HC:

If the gram per day increase is less than 5grams over the previous amount, use forms b1 or b2

If it is more than 5g over the previous amount, use Form A as well as b1 or b2

My friend who wants me to do his grow already has his new card with 10g/day up from 5/day .Just got it a week or two ago,so he just wanted a DG/me so like I said we just sent in sectionD/des..grower info along with pics and criminal record check/clear.He is going to call this week to HC to double check it is complete enuff.Will respond when I get the info from him.

just talked to my GP (a different doc than the one who previously signed my papers) and educated him on MMJ and he was happy to update my forms. now i feel any patient going into his office after me trying to apply for MMAR will have a much easier time since my kind, caring, understanding family doc agrees that cannabis has beneficial qualities. props to good docs and level-headed human beings in general!!!!

SO..IF one is putting in for a renewal and want to go from 4 to 5 Grams per day...what forums must be sent in??? also does the Doc. have to fill these in or just me etc.??

So one has to get forums every year filled in or is there say after 5 years not needed etc.?
Need more info on the 4 to 5 grams a day though?
