Hey guys im really wondering about sweet.... if i added just the sweet with no water at the suggested rate id have like 800ppm's...

does the ppm's not matter because of what the product is??? should i just add everything else and add this next???

is there a carbloader that dont add ppm's that is good for rdwc and wont clog air stones???

ive only ever used sweet and im really trying to figure out if i should use anything at all or what....

Sweet is a decent product, and because its pretty much just sugar water you cant really over do it.. I used the product for about a year, but never w/o diluting w/ water..

If you use sweet, I suggest using the raw flavor, b/c otherwise connoisseurs can tell when herb has sweet in it (if using flavored version)

To answer your question about a good carb supplement that wont mess w/ your ppm's much is Advanced Nutrients Carboload. Its good stuff

Now, im normally not a fan of Advanced Nutrients (especially when comparing botanicare to adv nutes), HOWEVER, I would suggest dropping sweet all together and just buying Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy. The new version of it (for the last 6 months) has carboload added in it ALREADY! I got MUCH better results/ trichrome production w/ bud candy as opposed to Sweet w/ carboload..

If you want to take it one step further, add Canna Boost (sugar extract)

Using both canna boost and adv nut bud candy in all of your flowering feed's is completely fine and beneficial!

I've used Sweet and it did have a generally positive effect on the plants. The only issue I had was that the flavored Sweet (Grape, citrus, etc) makes all the different plants bud taste the same. I used the citrus variety and that's what happened for me. They make a version of Sweet - Raw which is the same product minus the flavoring. I would suggest using that over the flavored varieties.

I grow in soil so I don't worry about PPM and pH. I've used Botanicare products for years, just follow the directions on the back of the bottle and you'll be fine. If you need a flowering additive I would highly suggest Hydroplex.

Sweet is not a sugar product. It contains a lot of magnesium and sulfur. That's where your PPMs are coming from. Be careful! It's strong stuff and only should only be added during flowering.

PTB you grow some fine marijuanas without that additive! But I do love spoiling the girls and tickling my fancy with a splurge. Instead of additives I usually purchase a nice fresh set of bulbs for the garden. That will give the room a kick!

sorry my info on Sweet is lacking.

thanks for the compliment... i appreciate it but i also buy bubls every 2 runs so four month of flower and there chucked for new ones...

the reason why im trying to figure out things is im new to hydro and its a different game i had to not use alot of shit i usually use and just wing it...

i do believe in your garden is most dialed in not when you have nothing left to add but nothing left to take away.....

I also like AN carbo load. I use Piranha and Tarantula and the Carbo Load feeds all those beneficial micro organismz. Root's go crazy.
I know a lot of folks here hate on AN but Bud Candy which is half carbo load really makes buds swell noticeably compared to molasses or sweet from my experience. Makes trichomes huge and juicy.
Just make sure you get the liquid versions if your gonna try them, they won't clog anything.

sweet is just mag sulfate... in a lot of other nutes as a base not an additive... complex carbs can't b absorbed through the roots so all u do is feed the benes if they're around... if not it feeds algae blooms and ph swings lol.... u can deliver complex carbs into a plant through the leafs... liquid light is based around that; dunno any other carb foliars but i digress

I stopped using sweet years ago for the reason you posted: it puts ec through the roof. How are you supposed to feed while using it?

Carboload is the SHIT. I used to be on the AN hate bandwagon until some friends convinced me to use a couple of their products (carboload, bigbud, overdrive, and VHO). Each one of those products is the best I've used of it's kind, especially the bigbud and overdrive. They have a lot of unnecessary additives, but certain ones are awesome. Didn't like the bud candy, makes everything taste sort of the same...
