I smoked for the first time in WI, visit there at least once a year for fishing and fun.

Meeting again on Wednesday at 11:30am at Starbucks on the Square. It's by Martin Luther King jr. drive.

Come out and offer that marijuana legalization is a far better idea than union busting.

As the budget repair bill is causing such a big controversy, maybe it would be worth it to organize a march to the Capitol with signs of our solution and support for the employees of Wisconsin.

Signs could be in solidarity or such as "a better solution is an end to cannabis prohibition" "Hemp = Jobs" "Save the budget - Legalize marijuana" or of course others.

With fair participation, it might be a good way to get some positive media attention.

Do you think this is a viable option?

Hello,

We have obtained a copy of the Isthmus article from 1995 with the article regarding Stephen Fitzgerald's involvement with covering up a murder of an innocent man over 2-3g of cannabis.

However, we need it transcribed.

I have scanned it into .pdf format. Can anyone transcribe the article? Or take a chunk of it?

Please let me know and I will send you the document.

Thanks in advance

Couldnt hurt. I think its about time every smoker go en masse to Washington to demand legalization now! Accept nothing less.

I do like spending time there. I used to go to Wisconsin all the time when I lived near Beloit.

The best way to regain freedom, is to be participatory in our system of government and help re-establish the positive public opinion cannabis held for thousands of years prior to the 1910's. Thank you for supporting Cannabis reform in Wisconsin.

If you would like to volunteer to help out in some way please let us know.
Meanwhile, activists and supporters are encouraged to hand out fliers for the meeting/group. Talk to others about the group and your experience. Invite friends and supporters, etc.

Madison NORML Examiner: 4/20 cannabis celebrations light up Madison and beyond MADISON: While Spring officially arrived about a month ago, its attendance has been spotty, and the forecast for April 20 "4/20", the annual high holiday of cannabis, currently calls for temperatures in the 40s, with a slight chance of light rain in the afternoon. This is a far cry from the moderate temps and sunny skies of 4/20/2010 when more than a hundred 4/20 revelers ascended Bascom Hill on the UW-Madison campus for a 4:20 celebration. SB54 makes a crime out of having synthetic cannabinoids. Please come to the hearing, you can speak, but don't have to if you don't want to. You can register against this bill

At the Assembly hearing, we made the argument that some chems in food stay in us for four generations, prohibition doesn't work, the way to address this issue is by taking a look at cannabis prohibition.

They are trying to make it Schedule I, which means could result in felonies.

MADISON: Medical cannabis supporters will gather next Tuesday at the
King St. corner of the State Capitol to remember victims of medical
marijuana prohibition. This year will mark the third year for the vigil,
which runs from 4-6pm. The vigil will feature tributes to patients who
fell victim to medical cannabis prohibition as well as some tasty dobro
playing by Mark Shanahan. Shanahan will begin the event by performing
the Wisconsin medical cannabis anthem, "Legal Medicine Blues" at 4pm.

The list of names of those who passed away without legal access to
medical cannabis read at the vigil grows each year. Last year the
passing of Madison medical cannabis patient activist Mary Powers still
hung heavy on friends at the event. This year, attendees will be
remembering longtime Madison activist Ben Masel, who died April 30 after
being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. At the conclusion of the
vigil at 6pm, attendees will parade around the Capitol in support of
medical cannabis in Wisconsin.

Third Annual Vigil for Victims of Medical Marijuana Prohibition.

Time Tuesday, June 7 · 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Location King Street sidewalk of State Capitol, Madison, WI

Please join us for the vigil & parade!
