Just set up an aero system and was curious how often everyone else changes the resevior water. Right now my temp in room in cool and water is around 65 degrees. It's been 2 wks. I haven't changed it yet. Water doesn't look bad. Plants are doing great!

You know how often you should change it? When you look in the res and say to yourself "That water needs to be changed" or when PPM starts to rise due to an excess build up of mineral and salts, Otherwise just top off. Easy as that. Go by feel, and what the plants are telling you. Your the boss...So whenever you say it needs to be changed, It needs to be. Google is your friend, Next time ;)

depends on the system and how dialed you have the strain(s) youre running.

You COULD just let it get down to a few gallons and just refill to the top and dose nutes based on what week youre in... Then the only time you change is if there is something wrong.

Thanks guys! That's what common sense was telling me. Just wanted to be double sure. This is my first run with aero. So far so good, except for 1plant, and I know what I did wrong. I bunched up the roots inside the net too much when I transplanted it out of my cloner and it became root bound. That's a bummer! Still got 5 out of 6 kickin ass though. Live and learn.

I get better results with a rez change every two weeks.

Since i dont use a TDS/EC meter. Mixing a fresh batch keeps my EC. and Nute ratios in check !!!
i just mix to chart and adjust PH...bang !!

I also think plants are very much like humans ,
after so many Coffee and Cold drinks your body needs a few glasses of clean water to flush to body.

Wow! This is kinda new to me. I gotta replica of the ez cloner I made that gets 100%. Iv'e been winging itin flower without a tds or ppm meter. Just been keeping it mild and watching ph. It's been 3 wks. No water change yet. All looks good so far.

I change my water every week. At the same time I bleach and rinse the res and also flush the girls with fresh water to remove any build up. I also keep the water topped up to keep the ppm on track.
