Do you guys think watering with the Blumat type drip, just in the center near the stalk, that coco will wick enough to reach the entire pot? That is, the drip system will work its way sideways in coco so the whole pot is getting water, even though you are watering it in the middle only ?

Overkill is under-rated.

No, it's best to have the Blumat on one edge of the pot, and the dripper at the opposite side/edge of the pot. This makes it have to water the entire pot before it shuts off.

so the nutrient will eventually wick sideways in coco, and placing your blumat on the opposite side will ensure the whole containers gets proper watering

i have found no ill effects thus far by not having my coco completely wet. although i have noticed that the one 3gal smart pot im using seems to let the coco wick alot of the water from near the stalk. my botanicare 9''x9'' containers stay a little drier but they seem just fine despite that.

Ohhhhh, so you do aerate the rez with the blumats.... i was wondering about that.
Blumats could get me to switch back to coco.
Looking really nice, farmdalefurr.

update. 6 days since the last pics. everyone is doing good. when i started using shooting powder last week i put 4 teaspoons in 10 gal. they want a 1/2 teaspoon per gal i believe, so i didnt even put in what i should have. 3 days after i mix it i noticed tips starting to burn. so i dumped the rez and remixed my solution. i think in 10 gal. @ week 7 im running coco a: 80ml b: 80ml drip clean: 5ml bud xl: 40ml shooting powder: 1/4 teaspoon (way less than what should be used)
