by all means, get your info from the guy who makes a living selling grow gear to newbs. Better to pay out the ass for a bunch of stuff you don't need than to spend an afternoon learning about the subject. amazing you have time to respond to my posts.

if i read every single post in every single forum would i be able to grow dope as well as you (considering youve been doing it for years and i havent)?, would i be able to choose as good a set-up as you (someone who has years experience using different variations of equipment)

Thats why i specifically asked what equipment would an experienced grower use (utilising their years of experience and knowledge) for their first time grow?
Once i find out what to use then i will find out how to use it. That seems logical to me

look at my account creation date. My first ever grow and build are in my sig. You can go read and learn if you want. That was february 2009. My first grow went much better than yours because I read some (not all) threads here. Two years ago I was like you, but I didn't have money to throw at the hydro guy. So I read and took notes instead.

Soil is definately good for you.
Try using Promix BX cut with perlite, ewc and dolomite lime.
The lime will buffer your soil and give you Mg and Ca through the grow, although it takes some time for the Ca and Mg to release. The buffering is immediate, though.
Use a simple nute strategy like Lucas, H3ad or basic 3 part mixes. You dont need all the snake oils. KISS baby.
Mix your nutes at 1/4 to 1/2 strength of what the bottle says. The nute manufacturer's want to sell product. It's like lather, rinse, repeat.
Start with cheap beans or bagseed. No sense wasting good genetics and money on a possible failure.

im not on here to argue, i just thought that this site would have people on here who have grown weed successfully under the same conditions that i am attempting to, and i had hoped that maybe someone would tell me what they used, how much it cost, and how to use it.
Yeah its spoonfeeding i guess, but i would have thought it would be better for me to use your knowledge from years of actual practical experience in getting the right set-up, than relying on my perception of what has been written on a thread on this site to buy the right stuff, with no practical experience as backup.
P.s i dont have the luxury of months and years of reading in order to do this neither, i have a few months max, and after that i dont know when i will have the opportunity again.
So to all you people that i have pissed off, or feel that i have boo-who'd their advice, i apologise that was never my intention.
