Need stealth ventilation

I need a QUIET fan. I am realistic on this. Moving air makes noise, I know. But I am looking to get as quiet as possible for a reasonable price. If these means vortex, an in-line... it does not matter. This is what it must be able to do:

I will be pulling air from 2 micro grows right next to each other. These cabs are about 22x30x24 each. From their individual ducting, they will be attached to a "Y" splitter, combining them. From there, I will be running the ducting into the attic and out an attic vent. These span will be approx 15 feet. Inbetween will also need to be a scrubber. What do I need for optimal exhaust?

I would also like to use this on a slightly bigger tent housing a 600 watt in the future, and would like it to pull through that and a smal veg area. So I am looking to overkill slightly right now.

Look into a Whisperline or an S&P. I think Panasonic manufactures the whisperline. They don't move air like a vortex, but they're made to be quiet.

i brought a silent s&p and it was worth every penny, its so quit at first i thought it was broke :)
you will want accoustic ducting aswell - thats where most of my noise is now.. accoustic ducting aint cheap tho

my fan size was a 125 and cost 60 squid

good luck:ying:

computer fans are very stealthy. Thermaltakes, for example, are cheap and quiet and move enough air thru a DIY fillter to cool a modest stealth grow.

What model of S&P would be good enough to vent 2 seperate 600 watt grow tents on at alternating times of day (so only 1 600 watt on at once).

Will also add that it must pull through about 15 feet of ducting and a filter

So you have to go in line fan vortex style. To make it quiet make a box a little bigger than the (diameter of fan)put the fan in OUHPS!i forgot to mention air inlet and outlet hole fill the box whit acoustic liner; close the box.Suspend the box whit ruber band ,the black one found in car section. And voila!

P.S.if you want it quieter, put muffler on exaoust .Lot of good d.i.y. here on that subjet

Sorry i never work with S&P but as long as it inline (vortex or any brand)will work.If you are planning to upgrade to 600 watt bulb i will
go to 8 inch.

Okay I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you're going to put the 600w in a 4x4' tent.

4x4x6.5 = 104 cu ft.
104 cu ft x 5 = 520 CFM.

You'd need a huge S&P fan for that, probably the 10" one. I'd put that off for another time, bro. If you can run a grow tent, your need for stealth obviously isn't too high. Get a vortex for the tent.

However for your current grow, I'd say the 6" set on low would do you well. The fan could always be used for your next grows veg cab or to cool your hoods/tubes. It may even keep your tent cool depending on ambient temps.
