Problem with search function

I've been looking for info on LST so I decided to be a diligent noob and do a search before asking about it. I get a lot of results but when I click on any of them I am met with an error message saying that I could not connect to 127.0.0.1 (whatever the hell that is.) I've tried three different browsers (Firefox, Chrome and IE) with the same result each time.

wild...i'm not sure what's causing it, but fairly entertaining all the same.

any other search term, and it doesn't do it, but...LST, it does.

when you click a link from search results on LST, the address bar accurately shows what you want, but still gives an error like it's trying to load from localhost

to add to the weirdness, click on one of the results, get the error - then delete '&highlight=lst' from the end of the address, and hit enter...and it will work.

if nothing else, you found an interesting bug

edit: if you change it to '&highlight=l', it works, '&highlight=ls' and it's back to the localhost error. adding other terms doesn't seem to make a difference, the error is reproducable w/ any search that starts with 'ls'

So, for example, where it says 127.0.0.1/?t=145512&highlight=lst in the URL, if I delete the "&highlight=lst" it should work? I tried it but I just get the same error. I also tried deleting the "st" at the end but it didn't work for me either.

naw, in the address bar

for examples sake, if i search 'lst' right now, the first result is
Nights of the Round Table (Multi-page thread 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page)

if i click that, then i get the error

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1.

but the address bar reads

if i delete that last bit (&highlight=lst) and hit enter, the page loads

obviously, it's not fixing anything, but it might still get you to the page your after until it is

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing for some reason. When I click on any of the links in the search, I'm immediately thrown to the error message and the address bar reads "http://127.0.0.1/?t=165649&highlight=lst" with no mention of icmag or whatever at all.

must be seeing different things then - not sure why, but it's kinda tangential to the bug anywho

i suppose you could copy/paste and edit the links from the search results page (before you get the error), but even that's kinda convoluted

127.0.0.1 is your loopback addy

127.0.0.1 is your loopback addy

I clicked on "knights" from an LST search and got the following... (notice the yellow bar atop the page.)

I'm thinking it has to be something with the site software (as you said) as it only seems to happen when I search something with "ls" as the first two characters. I searched "lsd" and "lsa" with the same result.

I have the orange bar and have since I joined. I thought it was normal...
