RATS!

I

IE2KS_KUSH

We need rats, people on the inside, and a way to anonomysly let them tip off potential raids. Idk who, but in the security section mentioned this, I think its a good idea. I guess people could give false tipoffs, and I do not claim to have any answers, but I think the idea is good and I know we have the know how here to pull it off..
What do you think?
I see bullshit everyday, grow house raided and on and on, imagine if people on the inside could proived tip offs a la the guy that saved so and so's ass that worked at the electric company..
Where there is a will..

If they are willing to tell you when the man is coming, whose to say they won't tell on you given the right circumstances.

those people risk their jobs and risk jail if they are caught...unless theres some financial incentive for them to tip off growers...most arent getting anything in return. this america, where nothing is free!

also, there are so many jurisdictions and agencies as well....in order to get tipped off here in oakland you would need to have rats in several different agencies from sheriffs department to OPD to DEA to CHP...

this would work in a small town where there is only one investigating agency...i hear up north in humbolt and surrounding areas the local cops are well known by the local growers so if piggie even attempts to drive up the mountain range all the growers are on walkie talkies like the taliban.....

Re: RATS!

Guys! If there was a raid getting ready to go down, and somehow someone knew of it ahead of time, you would not want to know ?

For example, cops are getting usage records, an electric company employee tips off the guy, he lives to grow another day, raid came 48 hours later..

I bet there are lots of good people out there that would be willing to anonomysly to off a grower just like that guy did. That guy risked his own job doing it.

Re: RATS!

It would be the opposite of crime stoppers, lol. I have no idea how to reward tipoffs, but I agree that would be ideal, but I dont know how you do this and be protected id wise...

It would be nice, but for myself, no go. I don't like taking unnecessary chances. Whose to say that this 'rat' hasn't been suspected of doing this and/or possibly being watched? People always seem to crack when shown money or threatened with their freedom/life. Because of that, I have never had a grow partner and other than my gf, know one knows I grow.
To risky. Again, common sense is your best weapon.
Cheers.

Re: RATS!

I don't think you get what I am saying...said person is going to hypothetically know you are about to get raided and volunteers the info, they know whether they tell or not...as the employee in the example did.

I honestly don't know. Whose to say just because someone has a high energy usage that they are growing weed?
That person could very well have a arc welder or a kiln in their house. Both of these use a LOT of energy.
By rewarding the person for 'volunteering' the tip, even if unsolicited, is like saying "YES, I grow".

EDIT: If someone knew the cops were going to raid me and tipped me off means one thing.....Security is lacking all around and I'm slipping. It's time to step back and chill for a few months to a year.

Re: RATS!

I am talking about a 3rd party taking and posting the tip, not the individual grower, the example was from a thread over in the security forum. I am not saying I am going to post an ad on cl for myself. I am talking like a facebook but for good patriotic citizens that want to express their opposition to cannabis prohibition by undermining leo and tipping off growers..

Ok. I'm lost now. To many bowls smoked. I need to wait till I can read that thread and analyze with a clear head.
Have a good one.

a very good friend of mine got a job as the local sheriff's dispatcher where he decided to do exactly what the OP is referring to.

it didn't work out too well, he saved a couple of friends from being popped but was busted himself for giving warning to the perps.

now nobody can trust him because somehow he magically stayed out of jail.

he came sniffing around my place a couple of times but I just chatted him up outside on the deck never inviting him inside.......

fucking rats
