High TerryT,:dance013: The Norcal Sierra Foothills at around 2000' elevation have a nice 4 season climate, above the fog and below the snow as the saying goes.
Look for the transition zone where the lower digger pine and scrub oak give over to ponderosa pines and black oaks. It's a pot friendly area:jump:

At www.weatherbase.com you can select a state and enter your climate preferences, you will get a list of towns and their climate history. :tiphat:

Dont the secret out!!

Salem or Springfeild Or.OK Used to work there. A+++. You can't pump your own gas though. Vancouver Wa. FTW heres why 1. Portland across the columbia river similar climate to salem 2. no state income tax in Washington 3. no sales tax in oregon best of both worlds 3.Washington has a flat car registration fee. My info is based on Y2k when I was in the neighborhood

Hey buddy.San diego local. I live a block away from the beach and pay 1800 for a 3 bedroom apartment. As far as mm friendly, they have delivery service's that usually deliver until 8pm. They usually offer discounts to the sick and senior citizens. ( Forgive me if i'm making false assumptions) I will say it is expensive here. Gas usually hovers around 3.20 a gallon. Going inland though to places like ramona or valley center becomes cheap. Also places in east county like santee and alpine are fairly inexpensive and peaceful. There are services that will deliver out their also. The further south you go it gets crowded and the neighborhoods get rough. Living next to the beach is cool but it's crowded. Especially during the summer. Like I said. East County, Ramona, San Pasqual, Valley center, Fallbrook, Rainbow, Gopher Canyon. Try looking those places up. Cheap and uncrowded. Best of luck.

So far the best places I have found is CA,OR,CO. CA would be the most expensive place to live. I live in Ca now the problem I found is when you get out in the rural areas finding good health care is difficult without having to drive a long way. Im also looking for a place to move to and retire. Finding a place that I can afford is the hard part.

I seriously have no idea what you just said. Are you saying Vancouver Washington is a nice place?

The PNW is an eco-topia as far as I am concerned. here on the west side of the cascades we get 1 or 2 days of snow a year, and high temps in the summer are low 80's max.(though we are supposed to tell out of state folks that it rains all the time and is really cold).
WA has a bit of a lame MMJ law, but if the new bill passes (next month or so) it will be the most progressive in the nation.

and check out the weatherbase for say 98225 (whatcom county) vs say seattle ....never a day below 0 or a day above 90. nice!

IMHO SoCali is the only place to live if you grow and love the outdoors. You can find affordable places to live w good medical care in many places north of LA in places like Palmdale & Sylmar. I bet the same is true for the San Diego area. Just go about 45 min outside of any big city to find good prices on rentals or home purchases for retirement.

The PNW might be Ecotopia, but in Socali I've never needed to use my clothes dryer, I turn my heat on maybe 5 days a year, and don't need a/c...what could be better?

sshhh. it rains a lot and is really cold
That's correct. Oregon sucks. Big time. You'd hate it here - nothing but leftists, socialists, Birkenstocks, 15-year old Volvos, freaks, rastas, stoners, cheap sluts, micro-breweries all over Portland, cheap old bars from the 1920's with $1.50 Bloody Marys at Sunday morning brunch!

Actually that's why I moved here 23 years ago from Laguna Beach.

Keep Portland Weird!

Here's a link to a page on Yahoo real estate
called 4 bedrooms for the price of 4 wheels.

http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/4-bedrooms-for-the-price-of-4-wheels.html

The crib in AZ looks kinda nice, brand new too.

if you don't need 4 bedrooms maybe you shouldn't even be looking here, 4 bedroom homes are spendier.......
FOUR BEDROOM =
Daily~More electricity to run lights/heat/ac.
Monthly~Maintenance costs per sq ft. + bigger yard
Yearly~Taxes will be higher for you.

On the other hand it allows you room to grow if you want to do that; or if the layout of the home allows you can split it somehow and rent one unit out.

No dispensaries, but we do consider cannabis a Schedule II drug. EDIT: OHSU and the Salem Hospital are both highly rated the last time I checked.

Actually Oregon does have dispensaries but they are pretty low key at this point. I went to one of them two weeks ago and signed up just to find out what their deal with taking a growers excess was and picked up two grams for under $14. The price they give is low but they sell to patients at low prices so it is cool with me.

Is Washington State MMJ?
If so, I would hit San Juan Island, esp. Friday Harbor. My gf is from there. Very laid back island.

Oregon? I don't know if you would like Oregon. They call rain "Liquid Sunshine". Like Coot says Bloody Marys for 1,50, and Pabst beer for 1.50. people smoke green in their cars, outside of bars, in traffic, when theirs havoc. on thier boats and on the river in their floats. Lots of bridges and rivers that are cold. Mountains with snow. Beaches that are cold. Im a redneck, hippie, fishing, hunting, wino, socialist leftist who is going to mace the next person in the grocery line who wants to "chat" about thier outdoor garden (tomatoes, corn, etc..:) that is coming up. consider yourself warned.

Northern Cali baby!

Northern Cali has beautiful shade trees in the Summer. These are in the back yard.
I ask you, where else could you get away with this?
