This is really interesting, Can't wait to see what this much light does to your trees...

I'm thinking MASSIVE.

Why this method? Just curious as to why you're going this route.

Peace!

greenwithenvy, Wrams, copperfacedave, MyGreenToe, thanks for the comments..

MileHighGuy, I'm going down this route as it yields massive from less plant numbers, among other reasons...

Ahh Freddie, I'm gutted you cant see them.... you'd really like it..
hopefully when you log back in.. I use Tor and they always seem to load up for me... I also use Mobile Broadband which is a dial up connection I think...
If any one else cant see them Just give me a shout and I'll try and attach them somehow...
Fred I'll maybe email them if prob continues... just give me a couple of days to reach 50 posts and I can pm email details........

I love that triple drain line, and the rest of the work as well.
I could say "super job", but shit, that goes without mention. :)

Is there any particular one stop shop online to receive all the necessary parts and fittings for a project like this one?

Freakin sweet billy, looks like a very efficient system. I might have to replicate it for my next grow. Awesome little pictorial too. I understand it completely between the pics and pro CAD drawing.

Also did you order those containers from somewhere? If so where? I don't know what I'd use here in the states, those ones you have look made for the job. I guess I could use a couple 50 gal drums cut in half with 5 gallon buckets drilled to death dropped on top?

I wanna grow trees too.

Look on eBay for Polytanks also somewhere like Home Depot may sell them to, DIY stores more then likely. However not 100% sure because I'm in the UK where we grow the biggest and baddest trees :moon: :D

Thanks for the comments Iraganji.
Hi Gsizzle, Everything you see in the hydro system comes from a plumbers merchants. Apart from the pump, which comes from ebay.. The same pump is very expensive new, but thats where ebay comes in useful..:jump: LOL

green_thumb..., any plastic tank or large bucket/drum will do... I'm pretty sure polytanks aren't available in the US.. But as Wrams, suggests Home Depot should have something similar...:)

Glad you got sorted with the Flip Flop Wrams, I'll keep an eye out for it:tiphat:

Hi there BL,
Its my aim aswell to achieve huge yields with less plants so this is the thread Ill be waking up to.

A few quick questions:

Is there any reason why you chose that pump as it is expensive & there are others available that give the same LPH output for a much cheaper price? Though your pump does look badass lol.

I currently use one drain connector which has no problem coping with my 1300 LPH pump but I would like to install a higher rated pump (mainly for DO buildup), just wondering how fast can the water flow before the drains cant manage, any idea?

How do you manage water changes when your drain connectors arnt at the bottom of the tanks?

What nutes & additive are you planning on using?

Could you paste a link of the connector mounted to the tank that allows the waterfall tee to pass please?

How long are you vegging for?

I was wondering if it would possible to grow trees with this method in a tent with a height of 2 metres with 8 weeks of veg using a indica/sativa 50/50 strain, possible?

Sorry if this sounds like the questions of a simpleton.

Hi ILoveit, I wouldn't have paid full price for this pump, but I'm very pleased at the water turnover per watt... Ebay is our friend:jump:
I don't have a definite answer on the drain/flow Q, but mine can't handle the full power of the pump.. I'd chance a guess and say the way I have mine plumbed can handle 1500lph per tank...
With water changes I only change the res capacity, and I'll do this every week or 2 depending on ph drift... I'll go in to this a little more later...
I'll be using canna aqua nutrients and ph down, maybe a little silicone.. but no boosters or additives..
I'm not too sure what you mean by "connector mounted to the tank that allows the waterfall tee to pass" but I'll try and get some closer pics if you like.. its just a 21.5mm tank connector with some pipe and an elbow raised up to to a tee above the water line... if I understand the Q?????
I veg until I'm happy with the size/shape of the plant, this can vary greatly depending on strain/pheno... 6 weeks would normally do an indica dom plant..
My room is only slightly over 2 meters.. so youl have to keep an eye on my progress to answer that one...LOL:tiphat: But 8 weeks sounds a lot for a 50/50 strain..
No worries about the Q's, it how we learn..

llewop, hope I answered your Q above...

With 50/50 hybrids , we never vegged more than a couple-3 weeks max , or the tops`d be hittin 8' ceilings and turned down couple ft toward the bare bulbs after stretch was over.....not a pretty site or easyta deal with either , but that was SWC/krusty buckets that was the fastest hydro setup known to God and man once dialed in........

Literally could watch the plants grow during stretch.......shit was insane........pain in the ass high maintenance bullshit , but damn sure pulled the gpw`s.....

Still wishin I could see those badass pics Billy.......I`ll be strong.......sniff , sniff......teehee.....

Peace.....Freds.....:ying:...
