running lights at night question

i would like to know if anyone has any experience with this scenario
if i run my lights during the night to combat summertime daytime heat;
is there any adverse effect of the root zone (hydro) being warmer in the sleep part of the 12/12 cycle and cooler in the awake part of the cycle??

I think there's a lot of people, including myself, that do the exact same thing. You shouldn't run into any problems doing this.
I also chose to run this schedule because I'm home just about every night.

thanks for verifying my gut instinct for me fellas
i was doing it before. but at the same time i was having problems with pthytalate ester toxid stuff
one of the guys at the grow shop insisted that my problems were resulting from having my light cycle reversed from Gods light cycle.
i thought he was full of shit

It's what's known as a negative differential room, I did it and though daytime heat can be an issue, yields only suffer if the "night time" temps go over 85*F.

I have been debating this for other months during the year.
The idea of ghetto birds at the cooler hours is what has thus far stopped me.

It also helps if you leave the lights on time untill a couple of hours after sunset and leave them running into the morning (12hrs later of course!). This is because the temperature cycle in a building lags a bit behind the solar heating to heat retention in the construction materials.

In the UK summer I found 2100 to 0900 Zulu time (NOT summertime) gave reasonable results in my roof space.

Been going 8pm - 8am since I started growing. It helps keep things cooler in the summer, and warmer in the winter. In some areas electricity is cheaper off-peak, so there is another advantage.

I'd really love to hear more of the grow shop guy's argument about God's light cycle, and how it was responsible for what happened INSIDE your house. lol
That is still cracking me up. I can picture the whole conversation. I bet he sounded really serious and knowledgeable too. hahaha
I don't know about "Gods light cycle", but since cannabis has been referred to as the "Devils weed" I want to know when Satan runs his lights.

if you are worried about root zone temps the get a water chiller and it will keep everything dialed in all day, i'm a 8pm-8am man myself! saves my ass in the summer soil season

In an inside grow, thou art god. While a plant can differentiate and choose between strong and weak light, it has no GPS. It doesn't know if it's growing in Petaluma, Philadelphia, Paris or Peking. It has no idea what's happening outside the box.
