ok, how about someone who's actually experienced growing Chronic?
Oh HEY! That's me! It really depends on the pheno you find. I did not come across one pheno that smelled like hay. They all had a fruity smell to them. I found 2 basic phenotypes. 1, with big airy buds, and 1 with tight buds. The plant with tight buds finished fastest. It was done in 7-8 weeks. The other phenos could go 8-10, depending on whether or not you have a good dehumidifier to prevent mold. The buzz on the tight bud pheno was really good, as was the flavor. I would put it up there with a lot of the connoisseur quality buds I've smoked. The airy phenos I didn't think were so strong...

You know.......If this is Simon , "The" Simon OF "Serious Seeds" , then I can attest to the fact that he`s 1 of the more revered grower/breeders in the Euro game per my many conversations with Heath Robinson over many many yrs , and should demand a lil more respect than what this thread`s providing........but....
This site holds many new folks that have no clue , so take everything with a grain of salt as to what`s been grown out , experienced by so-called growers , claiming 1 strains shit while the 1`s they prefer are top shelf....
Pot`s definitely the most debated subject over sativa`s and indica`s along with ALL hybrids within these parameters of effect and duration of effect , as well as what type of effect , so.......I digress.......but then......
You`ve got some sat pheno`s and hybrids that buzz you up and mellow yas out aka as "daytime smoke".....and then folks that love knockout/couchlock indica hybrids call the shit weak and not worth growin.........Yet it`s what all us old heads grew up on.....
There are SO many kinds of varieties/mixed genes out there now it`s impossible to know what 1 person calls weak bullshit , while the guy right next to him pullin on the same joint or bong pipe is diggin it bigtime.....
That`s why they make chocolate and vanilla icecream boy`s and girls........strictly for personal preference......Some folks need knocked out by pot cuz that`s their personality shinin through..........
Other folks love electric Sat`s and uppy sat hybrids for motivation and creativity.......Simon said his pheno would cause couchlock , so it`s obviously a different pheno you supposedly grew out in your cabinet that was weak......
Serious Seed`s has been around for a long long time with the same strains every yr......Yr after Yr.........Says a lot to me....and others....
Kali Mist , White Russian, Chronic , and AK-47 have been the building blocks for only God knows how many MANY polyhybrids that float around the world as we speak , and who knows where the genepool would stand without em......Thanks Simon.....
Would love to try Simon`s pheno of Chronic for obvious reasons......

only thing i have not read of your stuff is about ballasts (because mine are not electronic). i think i already complimented you on your thread. if i did not here goes. that is the most foolproof thing i have ever seen. been curing in jars for a long time, but had never even seen one of those Rh meters until i read your thread. i am usually anti buying stuff that i can get by without, but i will be picking up at least one of those meters ASAP. great idea. can i ask how you came up with it? lightning strike or one thing lead to another? again thanks for your input.

The idea, itself, wasn't mine. I came across the concept, while searching the old Overgrow forum. It made a lot of sense, so I started working with it. Ultimately, it comes down to a personality flaw; I'm naturally suspicious of the established norms and I really hate ambiguity. Burping the jars seemed kinda random, given the variance in the product.

first and formost they are the new tool for hot ggrows 8 to 12 weeks max in out befor any birds are flying,harder for randoms to spots.also you can have them in the city.grown in and around empty lots and condemned building(in south facing windows),even behind police station for those that like thrills,roof tops could carpet a walmart roof with,little red ryderhood and you wouldent even know it was there.autos a staple in my outdo.okay buds ar not indoor 12/12 in quality,i.e.structure,and resin incrusted buds(with the odds 1 out.sta.dr.autogws).so i run fresh harvest straight to bubble and get a least 7 grams of bubble per plant (ground and osmocote/or 2 gal organic pots.)that nich itself is well worth autos in my book.rez your gear is indoor ready.now auto rez seeds indoors i can see all day.in door sog autos are a staple for rooks and vets alike.see i remeber when we where trying to bush out autos but sgs is keeping them in single file line!lol good thinking tex.but what about outdoor autos?

Iv grown Chronic sense 1997 and it is a great strain, if you flower it 10 days after you pop them you will get mostly one large cola, let them go in veg 4-5 weeks you will get a nice 3-4 oz plant.
For some reason some people think its a shit strain???? I do not!
you can get a bit a hay smell to it if you dont cure it well, after it cures you can get some very nice smells, like Simon said sorda like wine, a fruity wine. I dry it for about 7 days then jar it, cure for 1 to 2 months and its very nice, friends love it. also makes great hash.
also like Simon said the stone is one sided. but I like a good indica effect.
the best part of chronic IMO is it doesnt smell very strong when growing, you can have 20 glistening ladies in you house and with a little ventilation no one would ever smell anything, hehehe.
