Hi guys

A serious topic came to my mind, What are we doing? we are posting our thoughts/grows/pics for the WORLD to see... thats right, if you haven't thought about it, you are telling the WHOLE WORLD what you are up too! At any one point some "cop" or "law enforcer" can go online and check out what the hell your up too. If you were dumb enough to post and explain what you are doing.

If you think about it, anyone posting online, and is not legal. Is just posting their crime for the police to find later!?

Anyone know what I mean? this is becoming serious shit... the internet is not a fad. It's the new form of communications... and some people don't get it.

Since Im Legal Now i don't mind posting, but before I used to post anyways... why? to spread the love and info on this great plant and by doing so I believe that this has spread MJ all over the place like never before. So many growers like myself learn from the internet and because of that he/she took the leaf of faith to become growers and accept the risk involve in getting busted.

wtf is a cop gonna do, i live in a legal state with paperwork, i grow only 40 plants, i barely have shit in my name.

cops are about money these days. they will only go after the big baller guys who post pictures of their warehouse operations and brag about making lots of money, etc.

I know what you guys mean.. I learned the most valuable things from reading online.. It made me an awesome grower in my area..
But there are many... too many.. illegal growers getting cocky and posting their achievements, that will get them in some serious trouble.

My warning is not to medical growers, it is to others that don't see that difference.

cops watching? probably, but if they're watching us, they're not working on real cases, wasting our damn tax dollars!
chances of them finding someone in their jurisdiction is next to zero

Unless you suspect Gypsy or the mods hand over member info, I don't see what you're so worried about if you take 101 precautions. Particularly regarding the upload of photos.

Here's the thing: if you're on the radar, you're done. Finished. Whether you post online or not. The Patriot Act will allow for any and all spying under the guise of terrorist protection, and cops will lie to get warrants.

Posting about your grows online is hardly a risk at all, again, assuming the webmaster is not giving your IP to the authorities. IMO using TOR and other protections to access this site is completely retarded if you trust gypsy is not a cop.

In fact, i'll go so far as to recommend you post your grow online. We all need to show our craftsmanship off to someone, it's in our nature. Showing it off anonymously online to competent fellow growers is a great way to "get it out of your system," and avoid telling a soul in "real life."

This is my hope also. It took me awhile to finally start posting, but I have met too many good people and learned to many things to stop. I hide this passion from so many in my life, it is wonderful to share with like minded souls. Thankyou all for contributing.:ying:

That being said, I can tell you for a fact no matter how secure this site is, being hosted in a friendly country etc etc, that if the U.S. government or for that matter the chinese, turks, russians or whoever else wants the info that these servers contain, it will not be hard for them to get.
Trust me on this I used to do security work. If the U.S. government gets hacked constantly(which it does) or lets look at just the NASDAQ (big money). Both of these entities have been hacked, without their knowledge how it was done or when the actual infiltration occurred. Now if these August bodies where hacked don't you think if they wanted to get the info off icmag that it wouldn't be very difficult. They may not be able to use it in court to prosecute but it gives them a trail of crumbs to follow.
That being said, budgets are smaller, money is tighter and these cops are getting put on the spot to show their effectiveness in a new (poor) world. SO IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE NOT GOING TO WASTE THEIR TIME ON US.
Unless you actually are one of the few. Then sorry.
In other news if we didnt post here or other sites I would still be having trouble trying to grow Thai strains outdoors in Maine.

If it's someone who wants to learn they learn.

If it's someone who wants to teach they teach.

If it's someone to go all Yummybud...

If it's LEO they just get jealous and angry and then jealous again.

Put it together or get packing... there's no reason to be here if you don't want to be.

I'd hate to think you're sticking your neck out for posterity or anything :D

i used to be all paranoid about it in the beginning like you too, i was barely past teenager and living at home growing under the rents noses/ behind their backs however you call it. but i came to the realization that
A.) im not a drug dealer or some sort of kingpin.
B.) they would have a hard time finding me first of all, let alone trying to use evidence gathered on the internet to get a warrant or convict me.
digital photo's that have been run through software and then the internet? as evidence. lol
C.) i dont feel that what i am doing is a crime. i am growing a handful of PLANTS in my own house and not hurting anyone and i dont sell any of it. I grow it for my own personal use and i may give some to my friends by way of smoking some with them or giving a gram or 2 i can spare. im only growing 2-4 plants micro i barely have enough from a harvest to last 3 weeks.

D.) i believe i am my own person and i have rights that no piece of paper can give or take away from me. God given rights as people say. As long as i am not interfering with you living your life you have no right to interfere with mine. nothing i do hinders anyone else in any way so you can fuck off with your laws.

E.) i am willing to die for my freedom, how about you. freedom to do anything i want when i want and not have anyone telling me what i can and cannot do with my own body.

F.) to learn and teach.

so when it all comes down to it i will post everything short of personally identifying features of myself and my grow online, if they want me let em come get me, but im not gonna help them out, do some police work.

at the end of the day "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food:" and the day when mans laws trump Gods laws you may as well just kill me cuz i dont want to live anymore.
