Also, would anyone know where to find any 3.5"x3.5" square pots/planters? At least 5"-6" deep? I been searching till my eyes hurt and it's getting frustrating

One of the best 120mm fans is the Delta FFB1212EHE or similar.

Delta makes great fans. Just use a fan controller to dial it in. If major stealth is a concern, get two for less noise with the same pressure rating by running them stacked at lower cfm.

Don't think you'll find square pots of that dimension, i have seen 3 and 4" square but not that deep. Try 32oz gotorade bottle or similar, they're about 3.5" diameter. Cut off top and viola! Just make sure you light proof it with foill tape.

I ended up getting a couple mini squirrel cage type blowers for PC's, I can't find the link to get their specs but I'll post them when I get my hands on them. the more powerful one is planned for the can705, and the other is to cool the lights in the "cooltube" or
coolbox" I guess since it's just a pane of plexi covering the top 6" , lol.
This is a 70w hps 11 x 11 x 30 box (internal dimensions), 12x12x32 or for outside dimensions.

That sucks about the planters, I was thinking maybe plastic 1/2gallon milk cartoons, or even paper ones, but I couldn't find the dimensions of either of them online after an hour search believe it or not, lol :wallbash::bashhead:

Hello :)
You could always use plastic foil stretched on a frame (or even no ;)) with cutted out holes as a pot.
Also, if you want super stealth box you can drop few drops of vegetable oil into engine of your pc fans. I tried it minute ago and i can barely hear my two fans from one metre :)

Plastic 1-Quart Milk Jugs (USA) Are Near Those dimensions, when you cut the top off. The plastic is translucent, so it will need to be covered in black paper, foil tape, or paint to block light transmission.

For planters I use square water bottles similar to fiji water bottles. Both are the same size as the cardboard milk cartons(pint?), except they're plastic and reusable. I've never had issues with clear containers. I actually prefer them when growing on a small scale.

I'd guess the cardboard milk cartons are 2.75" , fiji bottles are about 3", and plastic milk cartons are 3.25 - 3.5"

Wow I didn't even think of using those, haha. I buy those gallon milk jugs all the time and have been searching for a perfect container to fit 2-3 wide in a PC case for flower stage. That might be just the ticket. Thanks!

if you still need a good radial (centrifugal) fan to fit your needs than take a look at ebmpapst compact fans product line (they are rare ones and price can be an issue). delta fans bcb & bfb series are good as well for more adequate price.

Basically any 120mm that pulls decent amps and has a 38mm thickness should be decent. To echo some others some of the best bets are:

*Panaflo line
*Delta line
*SAN ACE line if you can find it (the 1011 is considering *king* in the pc overclocking world for overcoming static pressure, but it's actually quite close to other fans int its class)

This one from newegg is a high end panaflo for only $19 shipped.

I would recommend a high RPM fan and using a speed controller to drop whatever fan you get to 7.5 or 9 volts for best noise/performance.

I have found the squirlcage fans to suck for pulling through carbon. From the standpoint of low sound and good power I have found that the coolermaster fans are best. I have probably bought 20 fans over the past couple of years and the coolermasters are best fme. Some have LED's in them but that is a quick wire snip and nbd. I use a 70cfm 19db 120mm coolermaster at 7v and it works great to cool my 250w 1.5 sq ft cab through a 2" bed of carbon. The static pressure of the fan is the big spec to know for pulling though carbon but nobody rates that so it is trial an error.

as for pots... I see responces but no questions so apparently you edited that qwuestion out of your post... I like the " mini treepots" You can google and find them easily enough. they are under $.20 each and the company out of Oregon that distributes them is great to work with. I use the mt38's which are 3x3 and 8" tall. they even make a cool tray that holds 20 of them. the tray is actually cut to accept the bottom of each individual treepot so they never spill or tip even if you have only a couple in a tray. HIGHLY recommended for a small sog!!!!! There are many sizes of treepots and mini-treepots that would work well for growing mj in lots of different systems. Only downside from my view is that they have huge drain holes in the bottom. I have been using a small square of aluminum window screen at the bottom of each pot to keep dirt from randomly falling out and that works great.

Second the recommendation for the Cool Master 120 mm (19 dba) fans.

my experience:

I have 4 for a small cabinet (22x22x26).
2 exhaust 1 cool tube 1 intake.

Cool tube @12 volts. Other three @ 6 volts. +6 F over ambient (temp issues are GONE!)

PC fans struggle to push through 1" of carbon @ 6 volts. @ 12 volts much better but louder.

Okay well I canceled my fan orders, I just gotta figure out which ones to get now. Micro is harder than larger scale growing for sure

I will vouch for the 120x38mm Panflos. I have one attached to a scrubber that I dial down using a Zalman fan speed controller.
I run it in a 24"w x 14"d x 30"h cab with a 150w HPS and two 85w CFLs and the cab doesn't get over 82F. Its pulling on a 1" carbon bed no problem.
These guys have a better selection of Panflos, but if you're in CA, you get taxed.

They also have several fan controllers

Get yourself a 1A 12V transformer and you're set.
