One for the "oldies".. Budha ?

Hey fellow gardeners, back in the early 80's in my mid to late teens when me and my mates used to have fri/sat sessions sins. was making an apperance but Budha and thai or tied stick was all the rave around us.. now as we know sins is just the norm these days but what exactly was the old Budha, can't see any refference to it in any seed genetics, was it an actual plant or was it just a name given to kick arse make you floor locked for 5hrs indica?

i rememebr that stuff, ther was a lot of it kicking around in the 80 -83 totall couch lock, used to get it laced to its own stem with cotten, brown, solid and just hammer ya !!

the thai buddha i remember was a sativa very slender buds Grey in colour usally with a sickly sweet/incense note to the smoke tied to a sliver of bamboo with a piece of red string the reason the smoke was so heavy/couchlock was the fact the buds were dipped in wash water a by product from producing heroin, the water was high in opiate alkaloids ie (morphine ,codeine and a small amount of heroin) there are others but im no chemist

Thanks for that info Squiggles. so Buddha is not a strain ? and i'm thinking dipping buds in my wash water of omo, drive or cold power won't have the same effect..lol

Thanks for the travel directions mouse but have no interest in travelling o'seas for smoko, virtually a non- drinker here and just enjoy a couple of cones of a night after work, hate the idea of having to buy it so i grow for myself and the missus, thats it.. but, what a hobby growing is..lol
The only holiday we're thinking of taking is up to Nimbin area for a weekend to try something different than the Indica's I grow..
And on that note, can anyone in the know tell me what time of year would be best to head up there for a weekend or week away in search of some good sativa giggles?

Yep I remember that red string crap( i thought it looked orange ), and it definately wasn"t all weed that floored ya.. nasty shit .. worth a try once though

A visit to Nimbin is definately a bit of fun , beware the sketchy looking type that may try and collar you into buying some weed when you first park the car .. these desperate offers do have the possibility of some extra baggage you may have to carry in that .. cctv is streamed and recorded year round back at lismore .. and likely watched intently come this time of year.

I still can't believe those dumb fuck blowins at the bay thinking you can run tourist buses with dope leaves and such plastered on the windows to attract the backpackers
and drive past two major area commands to nimbin without leo thinking( and it took them a long while ) hey.. maybe we should start trying to bust these guys now and then .

Head to Nimbin at head time. Late May after Mardi Grass, better yet June or July after a cure. Try the Hemp Bar for the old time locals. If no dice, cross the road to the Hemp Embassy where everything can be bought, and ask for bush sativa, someone grubby will sort you out In the old days buddha just meant devastating strong bush sativa, be it Thai, Indian, African etc. or combos thereof.
