Any info? Its a 0-16-0 being like charcoal how will it break down? Boone meal breaks down well but its like 45 bucks for 50lb
bone char 19 bucks 50 lb any info would be great thanks:tiphat:

Hmm bone char is new to me but I would say use some but not an equal to bone meal, use both IMO 1/4 char maybe? If you look at it $1/lb is relatively cheap considering your final product. Do a test but good luck this season either way and peace, NS

yea this interests me. I made some biochar today and thought about using my dogs leftover bones. I wonder what the char process is like to retain such a significant phosphorus content.

its kinda a powder.Its animal bones they burn up.
and its realy cheap.but being like charcoal im thinking it would break down way to slow.I used some on my lawn and over the summer it worked well.gota love a 0-16-0
i want to try it for flowering .But from what i see it breaks down realy slow.kinda like green sand

whats wrong with a long term source of nutrients? that means less feeding on your part.
