I never feed my plants when they're that small. I wait for the first set of at least 3 fingered leaves to show signs of yellowing before I feed anything but plain ole water.

I don't use coco. I use peat/sphagnum/perlite with nothing added to the soil. So they survive on whatever trace elements they can find until they get big enough to handle being dosed. I'd try backing off of them and giving straight water for a bit and see if they improve.

Hey Jay Toker
I did a Purple Jem seed run, you may or may not have come across my thread.
Here is a link, I hope it's informative. I plan on using my seed for a outdoors grow this year.
But I have no interest in breeding for pheno's, ha ha. But I may eventually get into that game!!

Here the thread but it is all mixed in with other grows I had going on at the time.

Hey jay,

Your environment not being perfect (or as good as you could get it) would be one factor.
Definetly create a large enough passive intake to allow good airflow.. it will help with temps too. 2x the exhaust fan size is the common rule.. which i normally adhere too, but i've 'read' up to 5x

I've never used coco but i know it is an inert medium.. but they definetly look burnt and stunted.. and thats the critical thing with AF's 9 times out of 10 they WONT recover like a 'normal' strain would.

I start my AF's in a 'light' organic mix.. but cutting/seedling soil is what you need.
Under HID lighting (400w) in one litre pots.. that light soil is enough to sustain them (feeding only plain water) for the first 2 weeks at least.

Someone may be able to give you better advice is you plan to stick with coco for the grow. But if you want to keep it simple then you have my advice above.

cheers, mitch
