you can top it now but i'd recommend to wait for another node or 2 to show.
also, it's better to cut the smaller new emerging node that you cand see and cut, so maybe like the smaller one above your mark, between those 2 smaller leaves. or the next ones if you can seee them developing already.
i would agree to wait another node or so - you want to leave 4 or 5 sets of true leaves.
but also fme you are better to top back to a leaf set that are fairly big and mature as the plant will bounce back quicker from it.
lastly topping is better done when you are not looking for fast root growth, because taking the top will make the plant growth regulators signal the plant to produce sideshoots and this will check/slow down root growth for a little while until the sideshoots have tops of their own.
HALT!!!!!!!!! PUT THE CRACK PIPE DOWN AND STEP AWAY FROM THE SCISSORS!!!!!!!!! Just kiddin I would give it a week or so and use what you top to make a clone by the time the plant recovers from the topping the clone should be starting to root.
I don't really need to click the link to be almost sure it's Kodiak's thread. great one indeed. you might also waht to have it at hand somehow in the future, especially if you smoke much.
Thanks very good for the fast respons and very good replys!
So I think im gonna cut it tommorow. What do you think?
It has evolved quiet a bit.
1. The leafs that where comming out as you could
see on the first flowers.
2. A new set off leafs that im not gonna cut away?
3.This is the part I cut away.
What about those tiny tiny leafs/green sticks
right where the brances go out from the main steam.
Is it very important I dont cut them?
(its kinda hard making the cut, its so smal)
that should be fine, but next time be brave and top it so the leaves left at the top of the plant are bigger (like the next two down below your cut) these leaves are the primary source of energy to produce the sideshoots - so leaving mature leafs at the top will allow it to bounce back quicker.
