BioBizz or B'Cuzz Coco?

I'm looking into running coco for the first time and was looking for people's opinions on BioBizz Coco Mix or B'Cuzz Coco. Unfortunately these are the only two brands available locally to me. The pricing on the two differ greatly too as the B'Cuzz sells for almost twice as much for the same 50L bag so that is a factor as well.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Both should be fine right out of the bag. I know B'cuzz is some top of the line stuff. When I first started, I ran the purple B'cuzz bag of fluffed up coco...and I thought it did a great job..unfortunately it was too expensive.

I now use the compressed bricks from my local shop, and they work just as well. I just expand them and use them...no flushing required.

I have not noticed any adverse effects from the lack of a proper initial flush.

I used BCuzz once. It works well, but be aware that it has nutes in it already. If you do not pre rinse when using on clones or seedlings...it can screw things up. I spoke to the North American Rep about BCuzz Coco and even have a lab analysis of the Coco. My personal opinion, it is way over priced and can harm some plants if not rinsed well. Bigger transplants are usually fine. If you buy it, I suggest rinsing the shit out of it... then pre-charge with your nutes.

Never used Bio-Bizz, but I have used GH bricks. They works very good, but you have to expand, rinse, and pre-charge. Luckily, I have been able to get Canna Coco locally for the past year. By far the best IMO! But, if I could not get Canna...I would use GH bricks over BCuzz. That is just my opinion from experience. Good luck!!

Atami BCuzz all the way.

I've never rinsed it first and haven't experienced any burn with clones. Perhaps light intensity has something to do with it as I always try to go right under HID after root/transplant into coco.

Cool you never had a problem, the rep said you should not...but there are nutes in the Coco already. Either way, Canna is better than BCuzz, and is not pre-nuted. BCuzz is WAY over priced!!

Canna stuff isnt available in my state for some reason. Why do you think Canna is better then BCuzz? Because its cheaper or for other performance reasons?

I'm lucky to get Atami Bcuzz at a huge discounted rate so its actually the cheapest coco available to me aside from messing with compressed bricks.

just cuz I wanna try it......and its per mixed with perlite already as to where canna is just pure coco still with canna I add 20 % chunky perlite for better drainage.

BioBizz coco mix has perlite already? Are you sure about that. I could of swore I bought a bag in the past and it was just straight coco. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Not to steal a thread or anything, but as we are on the topic. Has anyone used Just Right Xtra? Looks to be coco based w/ a ton of amendments. I have had a few friends try it and seem to be liking it.

I personally prefer raw coco without perlite strictly for the reason that it can be spread around the property w/o perlite sticking out like a sore thumb.

Canna is better because it is not pre-nuted, it has Trichoderma, and is much cheaper in these parts. Don't get me wrong, BCuzz is very good quality...but I was burnt by a bag one time. I checked the run off with pure RO and it was over 2000 straight out the bag. I was wondering why my clones got burnt. I have never had an issue with Canna. Just my opinion from experience.
