also, heath veg's with a 400 watt MH in between 2 plants vvertically.. he said it before and said it in this thread as well.

top of light socket should be even with plant canopy, as heath and DHF have mentioned before.

humidity 65-70% until end of stretch, then about 45-50% rest of way is good.

(for prevention) it's wise to use a sulfur burner a week before flipping.. also good habit to spray plants leaves with sm90 every 1-2 weeks until flower

Sounds like Im gonna have to figure out a way to boost RH in future runs. I think the combination of low RH and bulbs too high hurt the stretch phase. I havent seen any decent humidifiers that will keep it up near 70% with those bulbs blasting. Any thoughts on getting RH to 60-70% from the usual 30%? edit: nm, looks like Ill have to pick up some console humidifiers.

Fantastic thread Heath. Much thanks for the tutorial on your system.

Wanted to let you know clones of the BR seeds (thank you again) have been shared with a few competent growers over in the old haunt and are about ready for the flower show. Drop by if you're interested.

Cheers,

ResinRubber @ GK

The best grower ever???

I have been scouring the interwebz for years, trying to find your grow threads.

I'm just going to sit in the corner here, and learn! Big thanks for sharing your information.

I am in awe, off the amounts that you pull of one plant......

Still my favorite thread of all time.

There's more "straight dope" on RDWC in this thread than on the rest of the interwebs combined.

All hail Heath!

Ever think of a Wall Paper Steamer?

Ever think of a Wall Paper Steamer? (Home Depot ~ $30.00) It has a long flexible tube to direct the steam to where you want it. The tank water level could be maintained using a second hole (H2O input) with a toilet float type check valve. A RH controller would be used to control power to the steamer (IIRC, 125 VAC 10 A maximum requirement).

Those hydrofogger.com setups are damn expensive, especially since I have two flower rooms. I ordered a couple of 9gal whole-house humidifiers that should do the trick. $150 shipped from the dePot.

Huh!

I have always heard you want lower humidity...

Mine is about 80% without a dehumidifier. With it, it drops to about 55-60.

I'm going to need to cut it down a bit, and get closer to 70, as I am about to start 12/12.

After a couple weeks of flower, Ill back it down to the 50s again.

Be careful using the humidifiers around the bare bulbs IGT......They spit out waaaay larger droplets into the rooms than foggers do.......

Heard many a nightmare story over the yrs bout bare bulbs exploding from gettin sprayed by humidifiers , foliar sprays , etc....

Steam`s superheated water and adds heat to the room , but might work if it`s in a colder area and not taking away from total environment in the rooms......

Peace...DHF.....:ying:.....

Ill keep that in mind. I have a couple corners I can put them in to keep away from bulbs. They should be here tomorrow so we'll see what happens. I don't think Ill be able to get any extra stretch out of them but bumping up the RH will let me turn CO2 back on, which should help them bud out strong over the next 45 days. They won't be as tall as I hoped but Ill be ok with 2.5' tall fat ass balls of bud.

use ro or distilled or ya gonna have to clean once evry 1-2 weeks.and the diy buble humidity w/w/o a halloween fogger woulda ran you50 each.just fyi.googd luck bro peace

Hello to all great minds around this thread. Thank you heath for being
so helpful, gracious, and knowledgeble. I have a couple questions for somebody...
My friend and I have set up a heath inspired small set up with 1000w lights, the lights are vertically stacked (2 bulbs) and there is a flip flop relay between the bulbs. Typically the EC is kept 1.2 (gh). I believe this has already been addressed but real quick if my water is 50 ppm (.7), then should I be running slightly less? I remember heath said he uses tap water EC .2....The plants got burned from an accidental overdose... should
I run lower until they bounce back? Also being it is that I am using gh would that change the Ec requirements at all? I wouldnt think so.
