suspected male need confirmation

I have been gleaning as much info from IC as I can since Oct. There is so much here. I cant begin to thank everyone here for all of the valuable information. VerdantGreen your led grows have been a huge inspiration. Areohead loved your pc fogponic. Addicted2grow, well yada yada thanks again everyone.

I have a Beyond the Brain about 4 weeks old and I think I am seeing the signs of a male plant. Maybe someone can confirm or debunk. If it is a male i will grow it out as it is an only plant I will save the pollen and use selectively on a future BTB grow. I do not have time to do another start at this time as i will be away for a couple of weeks after this one was to be harvested.

I did not plant multiples because my situation is very limited in space, next time i will figure out a way to plant multiple BTB before i do another run with it. I will most likely do a run of Feminized Paradise Nebula.

I couldn't say yet, if its a female, which it looks to be, it should shoot white pistils which I don't see, however it is opening up like a female.

if its a male, the ball will start to extend out from the stem.

I always feel a rush to identify sex, but when I think about, most of the time it really doesn't matter if it takes another week.

You are correct Sam. Having never grown before, and being foolish enough to plant only 1 plant I am rather like a first time parent where you have to kill the baby it if its a boy. Kinda the opposite of China.

Umm I believe all my plants have had those green things in the node area, don't panic!
Best to keep patience and watch what happens. Also don't even think that the plant is male near it, I bet on some level the plant picks up your thougts and becomes male..

If you only have one plant and not worried about pollinating females I'd just grow it on out.

I would say male if I saw a stem before that growth, to me that looks female.

All of you have been very kind in your responses. Thanks for all the well wishes. This never would have been possible without the help of all on this site. This grow is very experimental in nature for a first time grow. It was planted on new years. I may post pics of the whole mess if this plant turns out to be female. I am using an adaptation of a ngb box. i started with a 90watt ufo and switched out to a 120 watt using 3 watt leds. It has been 24/0 up to now. I am using floranova grow with a ultrasonic fogger. Will it be able to flower with a fogger? I will find out. I have been using 900ppm based on a .7 tds meter. So far things have been stable. I will be switching to 12/12 very soon. The most significant issue at this point would be that the plant is a very short and bushy. As it was planted from seed its very stalky and not bendable for scrog. It will have to be trained while in bloom. oh well. it will be a good viability check on my methods even if it turns out to me male. Thanks again to all. Just a side note; I cant get any effing formating to work on this post so it is just a pile of words

Just an update here. The bitch is definately a bastard. I am most disapointed...oh well. I will grow it out and collect pollen so I can keep growing BTB if I can get a female. It kinda sux though as I am a single plant grower. Not sure if BTB is for me due to no feminized seeds being available. Does anyone have any personal experience on the high of Paradise Nebula which i do have feminized seeds vs B2B?

Paradise gear rocks ime, the Nebula is supposed to be one of their strongest & heard great things myself, wanted to grow it out for a while, its supposed to be some really strong smoke!

males are sneaky...some like to wait until the last day and then suddenly pop their nanners out.....i presex by just looking for female flowers...once i see the pistils and i know its female its good. any plant not showing pistils is a male until proven otherwise....they are guilthy until proven innocent in my grow room lol..

After digesting this mess a bit more I think the best choice for me will be to use this B2B pollen and cross it with my feminized Paradise Nebula. It could create a good result. Any thoughts?

Just a small update on the B2B bastard. He is healthy i think. Bit of a streatch last few days. we are now day12 in 12/12. Wish to hell I could get feminized Nebula going but alas I have to wait till mid May as I dont think I could leave a plant alone for 12 days. Heres a couple of pics from this morning.
