Hello everyone, i am currently planning a new grow...nothing big, just a personal thing, everyhting is legal...so i have plant restrictions....i am use to sealing everything, putting in a ac etc...not sure if that is my best bet with such a small amount of coin....thanks for any thoughts...

But with $2500 I would do this:

XXL tent: $350
2-1000w HPS ballast: 200-400each depending on brand
2- sockets to hang lights vert: $30
2- Hortilux 1000w bulbs: $200
2 honeywell fans (place under vert bulbs) $70
1-box fan $20
1-canfan combo 6" $350
50- 3 gal smart pots $250
Nutes:$100-400 depending on how you wanna feed.

That should cover the basics.

Well you can get a good light system for under $300 if you keep your eyes out. I picked up a Hydrofarm SG ballast + Sun master bulb + air cooled reflector for $250 at my hydro store b4 X-mas. Then its just a matter of spending a couple hundred at a hardware store for miscellaneous items to build your room. Oh and don't forget nutes, cloning materials, and a fan!

As far as AC goes, if you start the grow now you can use the cold weather for a few more months until heat actually becomes an issue, THEN think about it!

After all is said and done you can still afford a couple packs of Rez seeds hurray!

HTG supply in taylor. cheap lights, good quality too. ebay can also stretch your dollar. budget humidifier, dehumidifier too. overkill the carbon scrubber. blumat drippers would be a good investment. seeds mr. nice and rezdog. worth the high ticket.

I got a 2 room (veg/clone and flower) setup going for just under $2000.

There are deals out there if you're willing to take the time to shop around. It can easily be done in your price range though, depending upon how much space, light and plant size you're aiming for, of course.

Give us some more details as in size restrictions and I can give you my take on it. I'd go with air cooled hoods and mag ballasts. You'll wanna get that ac second hand or ebay. Be sure to not waste money on overpriced nutes and go with something simple and cheap such as maxibloom.

you can easily do under 2500 if you use the cheaper ballasts/hoods. thats gonna be your most money. my 1k light setups costs over 500 each. (phantom 1k + blockbuster + 85 dollar bulb)...but i like the high end stuff. you can find light set ups for around 250-300.

run 3 of those and you still got 1500 to spend on a good AC or dehuey, some fans, co2...

I think most people don't consider all the little stuff when pricing out a build. It's easy to run off the cost of bulbs, ballast, hoods, a/c, or ventilation. But when you start building it all the trips to home depot add up to just as much as the big pieces.

You have to think that you may have to replace your main breaker, add a sub breaker box in the room, run wiring, this stuff gets expensive fast. You could easily spend the full $2500 on just that, if you didn't do it yourself.

Your dripper or hydro setup, if you haven't done it before these things are easy to leave out small parts, but essential. Maybe you need a new ph meter, and a ppm pen. That's 200-250 right there. What about a reverse osmosis filter? A nice setup could cost well over 200 when you get it all plumbed in. Speaking of water, how are you getting it into your room? If you haven't done much building before then you will need to set aside a good chunk of change for tools. Then there's panda film, or paint and drywall, plus wood, possibly a tent, however you decide to build the actual flowering chamber itself. This part runs up a good cost.

So my suggestion is to price out everything you can possibly think of to $1250, and leave half the money for the rest. You will be thankful if you do, and kicking yourself if you don't.

BTW the timer you'd want to use for 2 100's is gonna run more like $70-100 depending on which you go with. I'd use a big solid mechanical intermatic, something like a t104, or wh40. Wiring it them up and adding receptacle boxes could cost another 50-100 if you don't have wiring and tools already.

I would not even attempt a sealed room with a c02 system at that price. It would probably cost $2500 just to build the sealed room, without any of the equipment. Take the cap reg back if you can. Co2 is not needed in a room with good ventilation. Have you thought about where you are going to punch holes in the walls for intake and exhaust, and how it's going to get in/out of the house? What kind of ducting will you use? What will you use to support it? You want the shortest run possible with the least amount of turns.

I don't mean to overwhelm you, the questions are just there to give you some things to think about, in case you hadn't already. Good luck, sounds like you're off to a good start.

I would put in the air conditioning before you get started because you might end up having a problem with space for installation. Sure it doesn't take up any room in the wall but get that hole installed first. Then you can just set the air conditioner in. Remember that you will get a nice little supply of water from the A.C. condensation. I envy you dude as do a bunch of us I would bet.!Good luck, rafe

Thanks for the replys...real ting, thanks for your thoughts...in terms of the extras boy i know what you mean...in terms of electrical, i have access to free electric work, i have the timers because one is for veg one is for flower, going to be running a flip box eventually so i got the cheapos for now...in terms of the room...last room i built, frame included was 600...15x15 polyshield insulation, drywall, door...this room wont require any framing...just polyshield from home depot...no dripper or hydrop system, plain dirt and water grow...K>I>S>S essentially...the co2 is crucial mate i wont run without it...only thing left to grip is a 50lb tank...in terms of the a/c i am going to be moving, it will be cold untill i move so i will get it then...thanks for the input rafe, peace n puffs everyones way.
