It appears some people have been ingesting bathing salts and going mad with paranoia and even death. It is not meant for consumption. Maybe it is not as safe for using in our gardens as previously thought? Anyone know?

Are bathing salts safe?

I have not heard of growers using the novelty 'bath salts' sold at head shops in their gardens.
They are designer drugs packaged to look like bath salts.
Are you confusing these with epsom salt?

(Aside: I was considering buying a few hundred pounds of Epsom Salts, for use in a sensory deprivation chamber as the flotation solution, but I wouldn't want to get on the DEA's watch-list as a purveyor of illicit "bathing salts".

This is one of those things that keep popping up in the MSM and on-line. People desperate to find some brief escape from their burdens wind up engaging in extremely harmful activities. All while one of the most beneficial and least harmful plants on the entire Earth has been made illegal, with the full draconian weight of the government enforcing this persecution. It's not so much a War on Drugs as it is a War on People.
So now I have been hearing that these bathing salts are to be made illegal as well, just like the DEA's new war on K2 incense. How many people who already don't trust the Federal government because of their incessant lies and propaganda come to believe that if the government is seeking to ban a product, it must actually be good for you? Between this, and the continuous advertising by Big Pharma for their latest & greatest witch's brew potion to treat a never-before-heard-of physical or mental ailment, it's not so difficult to connect the dots between who influences government policies and who benefits financially. Just follow the money trail -- it's not that difficult to follow the breadcrumbs trail of $100 USD bills ...

Magnesium Sulfate and other Magnesium forms have many therapeutical uses on human conditions. My guess is that Bath Salts are much dangerous then our familiar Epson Salts.
I am not in any way advocating the consumption of Epson Salts just stating some facts.
There´s plenty of studies around stating the pros and cons of Magnesium Sulfate on the treatment of various conditions so i trust in your googling capacities.
It´s a sad world when people need to get high on something, anything, everything... but i am no one to criticize after all i have been there.

So, is using Epsom Salt for your plants safe? Will we be consuming bath salt when we when we smoke the plant?
Epsom salt is completely different than the "bath salts" that are being used as drugs. I believe epsom salt is magnesium sulfate.

The "bath salts" being used were never intended for bathing....they're simply labeled that way when sold. I believe the active ingredients are mephadrone and MDPV. There was a bust in my town early this week when three guys were caught with a "bath salt"/methamphetamine combo called "bliss".
