Gaffar's tape? Trying not to damage walls

Anyone have any experiencing taping stuff to walls for 2-4 months without damaging the paint?

I have some poly covering the windows, but two sides have light leaks & simply need to be taped down, but the paint is a very unique color & I really don't want to repaint this wall.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this, I'm torn between the following but other suggestions of locally available stuff would be awesome.

Gaffer's tape

Archival tape

3m Automotive masking tape

Thinking about this now also:

DAP® SEAL 'N PEEL® Removable Weatherstrip Caulk

Unique removable weatherstrip caulk provides a watertight and weatherproof seal to temporarily seal out drafts and save energy. Peels away easily when removal is desired. Won't damage painted surfaces. Vanilla scent. Interior/exterior use.

3M Hi Strength 90 spray adhesive , very strong ultra fast bonding tack spray this is "the shit" for bonding plastic to plastic etc ,
industrial grade...a little more expensive but worth it :

And --->Light duty J21 1/4" staples ...have always been OK for everything , notice peeps using these big heavy staplers which leave big holes ...these are very thin & can hardly notice the tiny holes they leave , yet do the job just fine .

And easy on your wrists ...very cheap too: (note green packaging)

blue tack it roll sausages out of it to fill and stick the gaps between the wall and plastic

p.s if the blue tack does not stick to the plastic use pins to stick through plastic in to the blue tack on the wall

Electrical tape doesn't peel paint.....not the prettiest thing to use but it don't pull off the paint.I'll put it more like this "it didn't pull the paint off when "I" used it.
