Hey ya'll!

So, I was at my grow store earlier today and was talking to the owner and he said that there is a rumor out that Health Canada inspected a 50 lighter on the Island a little while back and asked the grower why he had such big plants.

They told him that his yield would be way more than his storage was allowed..etc

Anyhoo, apparently this grower/MMAR card holder got a $120,000 bill from Health Canada. They said that this would be what his excess yields were worth and billed him. I guess they knew he was slanging it?

Any of you Island boys hear this rumor?

I would say BS for a number of reasons, anyways... if they have a 50 light show I am sure they can afford a lawyer to fight that 120k bill.

There is a guy here with a massive retractable roof greenhouse who advertises openly that he is somehow semi legally supplying 100+ patients, HC hasn't touched him.. some people are crazy/rich enough to take it to court if that's what it comes down to.

Honestly I don't know anyone with a med grow who isn't growing tree's at least 1 light per plant, if health canada is doing this I expect half the province will soon be getting massive bills for the excess buds they have been growing for the black market. Med is a bit of a joke here majority just being taken advantage of to give commercial growers a sense of security/legitimacy. Not saying it's wrong but a paradox for sure..

Haha. Fuck, eh. I expect some changes in the next year.

I'm willing to bet it will be space requirements.

would have made the news 100%, urban legends broski. its plant numbers not size of plant or room. until thats reformed, which can take forever, its a free for all. ive heard rumors of "inspectors" for years, never seen the hide nor hair of em in my parts. they would count numbers, look for locks and bud safes and be on their way, d

1) There are NO inspectors.I used to grow for one of Canada's first exemptee's and had one of the first DPL's.I have never seen nor heard of any HC inspections/ers.

2) There is NO way HC can "charge" for anyone's excess. That would be tantamount to them becoming traffickers as they have no idea where the excess would be going. And they have no remit to "charge" anyone at anyrate.

3)ANYONE claiming to have some 100 patient,semi-legal,HC sanctioned grow is either a bullshitter or is going to get a visit form the boys in blue/rippers.But with a single 50 plant licence could easilly use 50K of lighting legitimately......

4)I you are not doing big tree's as a med grower then you are daft.....

5) Most growers have come from "Commercial" back grounds. It's how the patients are treated by them that counts.

6)There will never be space requirements. That path was fully burnt by HC in the initial "consultation" period when the first licences were granted.

7)The med scene is not too bad for getting different strains onto the market, without it ,it would all be kush, jammers, american flavor of the year forever....thats the commercial scene. But a good med grower should be constantly cycling through new strains and the trickle down effect should end up in the market place, although it doesn't seem to get very far before running out.....

I'm more interested to see what happens with the dispensary scene in Vancouver now that there are 6 going.I think once Harper gets royal assent on his 5 plant or mandatory minimum bill he will go to town on the dispensaries, and on the over limit Med growers....

greta info thanks.

can u please name a me a judge or cop that will cahrge and prosecute people filling a void hc created.im not trying to troll just being honest. depos may get raided, but no charges will make it. the compassion club has been running for how long now? 10 years. they are full bore with thousands of members, d

ps health canada will have to reform before anything can be done legally. give a pot lawyer 100 bucks for an hour consultation, there arnt any grounds for prosecution if every member has a docs note of hc mmar card with our current state of operation

Will be interesting to see what comes out of the revenu canada actions in BC and the trials for the Quebec province compassion centres.

Like I said this guy is waiting for someone to do something so he can challenge it in court, he states it on his website. Cops haven't touched him yet, who knows if they will. look at all the compassion clubs operating in BC without police interference.
