Stunted, Curly, Small Growth

Ok so here we are at approximately day 40, Plants had an issue with root algae, which has been successfully eradicated. My current problem is trying to get them back on track. Roots are decently established but plants seem to not be growing at all, the leaves are curling downward and are very small; to me there are no visual signs of deficiencies.

RDWC
1/4 hp Chiller (65-68* F)
Pure Blend Pro w/ Cal mag supplement (see pic below for strength)
RO Water
600w HPS
Lots of aeration in water, continuous recirc (RDWC)
TEMPS : Day - mid 70's, Night- Low 50's, high 40's
Tent vents directly to attic, fresh air pulled from outside air source.
Strain : Not sure, got from some friend




Please help me get these ladies back on track *if Possible

If your PBP is organic, your tds meter won't read accurately. Feed according to the label if it's organic.

Your lights on temps aren't too bad but your night temps are too cold. In DWC, it's best to have your temps in a certain range. A 10 to 12 degree temp swing would be nice, 15 at the most. I'm not saying you can't grow with a 25+ degree temp swing but it'll slow growth and possibly affect nute absorption.

If it's too cold for your plants to absorb nutes, you should see a pH dip as the res solution gets more concentrated. If it's too cold for your plants to absorb water, you should notice never having to add back water to the res.

Your grow area isn't the only thing that's getting too cold during lights out. Your water could be too cold as well. Might take more than a space heater for the tent. You may need an aquarium heater for the res.

You could also try lights on during the coldest, 12-hour ambient cycle. This would close your temp swing considerably. You may have to tweak light leaks if any exist, otherwise you'll have bad surprises.

He's running a chiller I see water temps should be spot BUT your gonna need some Liquid Karma imo. It is by far the BEST supplement out there for overall use. You can use it with seeds clones and damn near anything else to bring bad girls back to life. I'm a Biotanicare WHORE so I feel your pain.

And 70 and above should be a low point on your room temps if you want any growth but if shes getting down to the 40 or 50's at all that poor thing (the genes) are thinking

this being an old time dirt man's way of tricking a hard to flower plant into flowering is to lower the temp greatly for a few days to trick the bitch.

If you want a way to use PBP and one other additive only you can use HYDROZYME it's expensive but well worth it but NEVER EVER use it in flower,make your girls taste like poop. But to use PBP and Cal Mag only your girls will forever suffer imho.

Well that depends honestly it really does. For years I would run PBP with Cal Mag, Liquid Karma and Hydroplex in flower the Berry flavors are excellent by the way.

Now a year or so ago I decided to simplify and save a bit of cash and use PBP and Hydrozyme in veg and the usual mix in flower.

The Hydrozyme is a tad expensive but using it instead of all the others and get a MUCH better root structure in my buckets I have gone this way and never have been happier.

Hydrozyme imho MUST not be used in flower,for me it's for the roots and once I got those it is no longer needed since I go back to the usual mix.

Cal-Mag is the only product in the mix NOT labeled Organic. But seeing how you can shit in a bag and pay the fee you could call that Organic as well so go figure.

In using my buckets and a Tri-Meter I have never had a problem with a PPM reading and if you follow your mix 100% per label IMHO again I think you will find your running your girls hot and wasting nutes. We have discussed this many many time in the Organic Hydro section to find the label sells a lot of nutes but runs hot UNTIL you get into late flower. With this in mind understand in veg and early flower when I'm mixing say 70% of the label I must understand the PH buffer in PB does work but does so MORE effectively once you get closer to using it 100%.

A fresh mix of PBP,Liquid Karma,Cal-Mag and some Hydroplex Berry is one amazing mix to smell. Once you get it mixed all up and diluted b4 you drop it in the aroma alone makes you understand how it all works so well but the one thing they don't tell you is they are designed to work together and for that simple fact once you try it and see what I mean they got us by the balls

Should I stick with these ladies and try to pull them through, or restart with a fresh batch.. Give em a week and see what happens with the higher temps?

If she has healthy roots she will come back that is simply a matter of choice. How much time is she worth is the question.
