Floramite SC question?

Does Floramite SC cause any health related issues to humans when applying it/ being and living in the same proximity as the plants? Should I wear any kind of protective gear when using it? Any other precautions/concerns I should know about?

Here's an old epa summary back from '99... before they did food applications, so more tests should've been done... didn't see it on cursory search.

I've mixed & applied & worked around it. Use a normal disposable chem suit, chem resistant gloves (nitrile is fine), a chem/paint fume respirator & full wrap goggles... shave such that you have no stubble & get a solid/tight seal w the respirator. Mix in a low pH solution (5.5~6) as higher pH will neutralize it's effectiveness.

Shut all fans & hvac equip off. Shut off the HID lights and/or raise them alot.

Use a light surficant or wetting agent... again, watch your pH.

Apply & get the hell out for a good 12 hours (REI). And get everything... they say it is translaminar, but you should get the underside of the leaves for direct shot to the mites.

Floramite is good for a replacement of Avid, but you should hit em w another miticide w another MOA... Judo is costly but pretty cool for anything but the adults.

That should cut down on the reading through the FM thread! ;-)

Thanks for the info BoCo. Damn , that looks like some SERIOUS stuff. I don't know if I want to use that if I am going to be living in the same place that the plants are.

you could try spinosad it works well (in my experience) on mites and is far less toxic
