What does it mean if you have a month and a half old plant turn purple? Its an Aurora Indica from seed.
Purple started on the lower fan stems than to all fan stems. Trunck remained green for awhile. Now purple has spread to all stems everywhere. Even the trunk. I also noticed purple speckling on newest leaf growth.Three and a half gallon pot in coco, peat and hydroton. Fed 1/2 strength about every 3 days.
Please help.

At the moment I can't post any pics. I should add that its under 2 46w florescent lights. Still in veg. About a foot tall with about 4 true internodes of growth. Dimmed at 4th internode. Bottom fans and stems loli-popped about 2 weeks ago ( just one set).

If I recall correctly that's a severe Phosphorous deficiency but take a look at the deficiency guide we have on the forums from "mynameisstitch" and search for 'purple' in that thread. Good luck!

Pics would definitely help. I've had bogglegum phenos stem purple early in veg outside, f13 almost always has purple stems and purple discolorings in the leaves in veg. The purpling of the leaves makes me think not phosphorous. Is it only one of many phenos or varieties? Anything to compare your feeding against?

Could be phosphorus but could also be cold temps.

AI does have purpling traits, no? I chose her after seeing some wild colours in some shots, which included purpling. I have one on the go at the moment about 35 days or so but no purps like that. Seen leaves go darker green with purple-bluey tint then parts of leaves turn dark mud brown green and die - sick girls :eek:s

When it says drag and drop the pictures, it means drag them from galleries that already exist on icmag.com (you can create albums/galleries of your own) -- but the easiest thing to do is click "Advanced", "Manage Attachments" and then it pops up a window for you to attach the files directly to the post without using a gallery!
