PH Chart throughout Growth Cycle

Hello,

I the most recent High Times mag, they post a GH food schedule along with the appropriate PH of the food for each week of growth.

6.7 for clones and seedlings
6.5 for the first 2 weeks of beg
6.4 for the middle and end of veg

6.3 for first 3 weeks of flower
6.2 for week 4
6.1 for week 5 & 6
6.0 for week 7 and flush

I always heard that your ph is not always the same throughout veg and flower.

I stick with 6.3 throughout and have not had any issues, but I am always looking for ways to improve.

Does anyone else have any light to shed on this?

yea it depends on the medium. In my opinion, soil or soilless mediums with lime have more room for error 6.4 - 6.0 while rockwool has no ph buffer and should be kept at 5.8 for best results.
But it is interesting to look into which nutes disolve or uptake the best at certain ph levels.

I have never needed to keep such a tight tolerance on the PH. A PH of 6.5-6.8 is what I have been using for years keeping it within this range has served me well. Im a Organic grower using my own mix.

Wow Ive seen very good documented grows that beg to differ with those findings, as well as my own R&D.....

Drift is not bad, but starting them lower 5.5 ~5.8 in veg and a gradual raise in Ph will bring the weight.

After years of testing this 'theory' it should be more well known.

Some food for thought... Example I use H&G and Ph before additives, now some of there benies affect the Ph but all most always return to normal. BUT there Potassium boost (Shooting Powder/gel) raises the ph substantually.

My findings support this and Jump from 5.8 in week 4 to 6.0 in week 5 , and increase the Ph by 0.1 every week till wk 8 which finishes at 6.3.

Hope this helps.:tiphat:
