Odor Control in a 2000w unsealed room?

Any suggestions? I thought I had it under control, only to find out that either my Vaportek was a dud, or they just don't work in general.

I'm thinking about just running a carbon scrubber blowing straight up in the center of the room, is this feasible? I understand that it would probably let a few whiffs out, but that would be acceptable in my book.

Also, I'm a complete carbon newb, if this is possible, what would be a good size/model? I have 2000w with 12 big ones under it, they're still in veg but that side of the house already smells like sweet cheese.

I have a 4X8 tent 2k and I use a 10" vortex and a can 75....

I have mine sitting outside my tent just scrubbing the air inside the room and it works great

Its overkill, but I am safe, i'd rather have a large overdone scrubber, than smell leaking!!!

I am in a condo, so I worry about my neighbors smelling my crop.

I ran a few stinking casey jones under 650w with a setup much like you described. It couldn't contain smells mainly because the scrubber couldn't get to all the smelly air before some of it seeped out.

I used:
- vaportek optimum 4000 inside the room
- can 33 and 6" can fan blowing straight up inside the room
- bubbling pine sol inside the room

A carbon scrubber will help tremendously, but with 2k and an unsealed room, you're fighting a losing battle. Some smells will seep.

RedRain solution is a good one if you can manage that, or seal that room up.

^^^ is documented below in my CJ grow along thread...

Take a look at my scrubber in the diy sticky thread here, it does 2-3K for over a year between filter changes.

Thanks guys! And thanks Haps! My patient's dad is a builder who has all of the material for the diy's on hand, minus carbon. :)
