An idea popped into my head the other night. How hard would it be to make a led panel? and would it be feasible/ cost efficent to make your ow,. I thinking series circuit led solder to circuit board...

Not very.

You will also need a decent heat sink to do it right.

If you can solder, not hard. If you can't, it should only take a little practice. Use something cheaper to practice on though.

As far as cost efficient, I'm not sure. The positives from building your own is knowing that you have high quality, top bin leds in the proper spectrum. The problems with the ebay/chinese led lights is that many use low quality leds, possibly in the wrong spectrum.
