How long does canabutter stay good for?

Good question man. Hopefully someone knows the answer cuz im curious aswell

I would clarify it and then freeze it in small portions, perhaps an ice cube tray. Google frozen butter though, and make sure freezing doesn't damage it.

Give some to friends if you think it will go bad before you can use it

It lasts as long as regular butter of the type.

If you know you are making a batch, just use salted butter, it's really not salty.

And yes, you can freeze it for extended periods of time, like normal butter.

if frozen, you can keep it over a year with still good potency.
I have been using mine for almost 16 months now... still works a treat!

frozen is the way and your nose will let you know if something went south
