hermi preflowers?

hey.
i kind of feel crappy about this.
i thought i was reading my preflowers just fine but now i'm not so sure.
i already killed a few plants because i thought they were showing male preflowers.
i left this one because although i was pretty sure it was a boy i wasn't 100% and it was the best plant growing, fast and strong.

turns out it now has hairs coming out of it!
yeay!

however, i still think i see a few male preflowers?!
does this mean hermi?

i just went to 12/12 last night so all this has happened in veg.
i thought hermi plants only show well into 12/12. i've been vegging for almost two months.

here is a pic showing one of the growths i'm worried about.
there are not that many of them so i was just going to pick them off and hope that is it.

this is still the best plant.

i have two others which are 100% female.

these are seeds i made myself from my last grow from two good looking plants from a pack of chimera breeders ultimix.

thanks.

Yeah, you have to wait till the top nodes have at least 4 or 5 pre-flowers. The bottom ones can look male since they're usually pre-mature. Don't worry, it happenned to me too. There's alot of info out there, you'd be surprised how foggy some of it can be. You could almost say it's classified.

some strains will show sex in veg and some will not. It's best to wait till a week or two in bloom to start culling your dudes.

Make a clone! before it's too late...

Make a clone! before it's too late...

Hermi's can be the most amazing plants They tend to produce unique buds when they turn from female to male, I wouldn't say the same about males turning to females though...
I'd really reccomend not taking the plant down until you know exactly how it's going to look once more flowers come into fruition.
The Hermi Flo I grew was and forever will be on of my favorite lost smokes!
I got hast with the plant when it first showed signs of being male, I decided it'd be wise to cut the End flowers where the male balls were forming thus leading to no possibility for new branching but the internodes that grew out produced an UNbelieveably high quality end product.
I really tried to keep the thing growing by reveggin and taking a few clones while it was still seemingly alive but the results were sad, it's slow and ugly death was my lost dreams...
Maybe you've got a little DJ Hermi mixed in with your Chimera plants?
Your' pics are great BTW
very clear and enjoyable!
I'd say lett'em weird hermi flowers keep growing you never know when a plant will turn into something beautiful until you've seen it fully flowering.
Great stuff hermi's have become something of interest to me, they can be used in a beneficial way somehow It's unclear how to utilize them but they can be just that, Utilized.
Maybe you'll get a unique something or other 777Chronic Take a clone while you can if it's a keeper you'll be soo happy!
Check out my Flo Hermaphrodite
Aphrodite just seems weird as the end-part of that word. haha
I couldn't tell if this was a female turned male or a male turned female? Either way aphrodite is a goddess!
- some of the male flowers were just covered in Trichs. If you're growing to smoke then a trichmone covered male flower is definitely nothing bad right.

Sorry if I sound worried I'd just hate to see another Chimera seed grower miss out on what may be a genuine keeper!
I grew the highland mexican*Blueberry from Chimera!
wow! it's like psychadelic caffeine! haha it's a very unparanoid type of high but it's also very stimulating, and a stimulated mind can race! , keep The chimera coming !!! and post some more of those cool pics! :ying:

Keep an eye on those spheres... sometimes they can open out into female clusters.

Personally we'd pinch out the spheres,, (this mildly stresses the plant) to induce more male flowers if they are present.

Hope this helps

The hermi male that later produes female flowers can be desirable too!
they apparently have a higher ratio of females in their progeny.
and often have a resinous trait that can be well suited to increase potency.
I'm reading the DJ book on cultivating exceptional cannabis.
Hope the Herm. you've got can sport some enjoyable qualities!
Mine seemed to be steril with no pollen at all... oh well.
It sure as heck was my favorite smoke this season!
777Chron.!
Got an update? maybe you can use the pollen to make a great new generation?!?
I know we all want sensimilla though... It's is the best!
A few seeds on a lower branch can always be good too! I mean it would surely satisfy the plant, and i've heard it can spped up the flower ripeness.
The risk of lowering yields to me always seemed worthy if I could have a few seeds for next time.

I won't ever chop a plant until it at least has more balls on a node then me. If I don't see 2 to 3 at the same flower site I wait.
