after countless of hours of research and advice from a coule buddies i started my first grow mid october. ive vegged for about 9 weeks under 2-1k hps bulbs. 2 or 3 days out of the week id take them out for about 8-10 hours to get sum sun. dont know if it will make much of a difference but i wanted to save some money on electricity. i am now in wk4 of vegging. i started out with 50 clones and along the way lost 10 of them due to carelessness. got them in 5gallon buckets with FF ocean soil. ive been trying out diff nutes from GH to AN. any feedback(good/bad) would be appreciated. hopefully some of you will join the ride for the last 4-5 weeks of flowering and harvest to see the final outcome of my first grow. here are some pics from wk 3 of flowering. will post wk 4 later.

wk 4 everything is bulking up...a friend told me to flush once a week so ive been doing that...any opinions on that?

Flushing once a week is not needed, you spend money on the things you put through your soil every week, why kick it all out? I like to clearex on the transition on week 1 of flower as well as week 5 or 6 to clear out any salt buildup while at their peak, then let them have it until 8-10 days prior to harvest until the final flush/leach is going down.
Are you measuring your run-off?

i c...thanx for the info...sorry but ima noob so i dunno what a runoff is...ive read a ton of info but some of its been baked outta my brain...hehe
"runoff" is the water or nute solution that comes out of the bottom of your grow containers during the normal watering or flushing process that one would measure the ppm's (or EC) and PH of to determine if there is in fact a fertilizer salt build-up in the grow medium or other related issues.

Nice work. So taking them in and out to save money? I have done that. What a lot of work. Exercise program is on trac.
They will be getting really sticky/stinky and a lab coat or or light weight cover garment may help cut down the amount of time you spend in the shower and laundry room to get back to normal. Have you noticed sly smiles from friends or strangers who may notice you when you walk into a store or gas station. The smell may not be as noticable to you after working around your plants but it's there. Saying your neighbors pet was sprayed by a skunk is a good standby story.
Flushing once a week. If your plants look good stay at it. It simulates a good rain and your plants have no deficiency showing. Nute burn is hard on a plant so I stay light on them anyway. 1 teaspoon per gallon of molasses will bulk up your buds and gives the needed nutients on you flush days if you want to give them something.
Remember gardening is addictive, its nice to have a support group here. Thanks for sharing . Will be watching and learning.

I love the look of a plant that has been grown proper. You cannot deny how awesome your plants look and your for sure going to be a very happy guy after they are ready.

I definitely would not continue taking your plants in and out of your grow room. Your gonna be spending lots of money trying to get rid of the spider mights and many other bugs that you WILL eventually bring in if you continue taking your plants outside all the time....
are you running straight FFOF? i had minor issues with nute burn with it straight. alot of guys here have special FFOF mixes, that include Light Warrior, happy frog, kelp, bonemeal, dolomite lime, etc. some guys even have soil mixes that dont need any nutes, just water straight from tap. no need to use AN or GH nutes, i get some seriously frosty stinky herb just using basic Fox Farms nutes with low ppm. and you dont neet to flush soil every week thats only for hydro....a soil "flush" is simply watering with straight water once or twice a week. i only water with nutes 1/3 of my waterings.....
how many 5 gallons are you cramming into each 1k. im gonna be doing something similar. trying to dial in, so im gonna run 3 gals, 5 gals, 10 gals, and 15 gals under 1ks and see what works best.

was gonna ask how much room you were using with 50 5gal buckets going on...but all your pics were outside.

theres 20 under each light. im assuming that a 1k covers 20 sq ft of space so each plant is getting atleast 50w. if im wrong please let me know. since this is my first run im still unsure if im feeding correctly. i feed them every other day. and everytime i feed i use nutes. should i be watering everyday and use nutes only every third feed? thanx for stopping by.
preciate it. the rooms 8x10 so its pretty tight in there...i started out with 50 and lost 10 along the way. i cant say im happy about losing the babes but figured it worked out for the best. it gave more space to the 40 i have left and now some of them are taller than me...sheesh...
