A World On A String

glad there are people out there willing to do it,i am really digging the dtc99's,seem to take lots of pics of those, the scent is out of this world too,may need to do some pollen chucking of my own with the nice thai leaning female i have, sounds like your new favorite stud would be a good match,or maybe the chem ibl's,seems like the two bud structures could make for some fat sassy colas....plus the smell would be something....

I have no doubt that DG did a good job making those beans...from what I've read...she has access to original stuff and the facilities to do ample runs. I saw a "heads up" thread/advertisement plug over in Rez's forum....sound pretty well done.

I was really hoping unc.....that you would do some outcrosses with DTC99 and circulate the pool with your personal lick. I have some of your threads tagged...so I check in to see your grows frequently. Interesting plants you run...a well rounded grower imho... with taste and class. I'd really enjoy seeing you make some genetic marinade (gezus....that sounds perverted)....and getting them into hands of friends.

I have no interest in DTC99 out of the stable...I'm way done/over buying beans....but I'm very interested to see what my friends create in their hole in the walls.....that's my concept of preservation.

Preservation....is not about one cultivator's vision...nor should the task be put in one cultivator's hands. That would be bottlenecking through concept. The genetics are always there...but bottlenecked by cultivator goals.

I'm so tired of rules, titles, and lack of chaos....really shows lack of faith.

i had a really nice Killer Queen Redux male hanging out that i was gonna cross with one of the DTC99's,unfortunately i managed to forget to water him and he died...anyway,looks like someone tossed a nanner,i can see some seeds forming on some of the plants, not many, and i think i tracked down the culprit plant, going to have to decide weather to run it again,i did have a serious timer malf right in the middle of flowering and a few light leaks caused by my not getting the door all the way shut...

Damn timers. I dislike having to trust those sort of robots...tend to prefer simple mechanical ones.

Well I'm not insinuating any ICer should be trading any genetics except through Boo/Bay.... if growers are confident in their plants and have extra beans/and asking a reasonable amount of $..I'd spend on them...I'm mostly interested in:

A: my own stuff

B: stuff from hobby dudes that I follow on here...as I like my plants to be more personal...talking on here with folks and then growing out their work...is rewarding on so many levels.

I make such small amounts of beans in most cases...and the fact that I really don't think many of my crosses would work in other cultivators environment....I'd not be sure my plants would satisfy the majority of growers. I work with unstable stuff....I see nanners as normal in some crosses. I beat the living shit out my girls...

I was thinking I should just send $$$$$ to the Mag and make my contribution to the community that way....that's fair I think.

If I can ever find the plants I'm looking for and find confidence in their global performance.....I'll make some beans and kick in my donation....I wouldn't be confident at this time. I need to be selfish and learn them a while longer. It's a tough audience for sure...rightly so.

yeah,my interest in making beans is solely for my own use...i'm not interested in breeding per say,and i already have too many seeds as it is,if there is such a thing...and truth be told, having found a breeder whose taste in strains is very similar to my own i'm pretty content to just grow and let the pros do the work...plus i hate half assing anything i do,and at this point thats about all i could do breeding wise,so best for me to wait till i have my barbie dream garden and can do things properly....and that will have to wait till i get a new road bike! LOL

Back in OG days, I became a "lifetime supporter" or something when I sent in $250 to help. The next month they went down for the count.
So I never wanted to run that risk here, but there were times when I'd read DG ranting on "what have you done for ICM?", and coupled w/ the PM that plagued me last yr. I shifted into bean-making mode, knowing I wasn't gonna be able to produce A+ herb.
So that's outta my system.
Now I'm doing my indica thing, I've got 25 Herijuana's going, and ya, that ain't many in the breeding scheme of things, but it's all I can handle, and it bores the tears outta me.
I'm longing to grow bigger plants in bigger pots, but I need to get a solid indica pool to work from 1st. Using my illusions best I can! :tiphat:

Tell me about it man....the last 3yrs were a cram fest of plants and pollinations...having to abuse the girls for stress test and in general due to space and grow style. Lower yielding plants had to be sorted through to make my crosses....not only genetically but because of space constraints..at one time I had 50 flowering plants....where I now have 12max....talk about unhealthy ways.

Is it worth it? Yes. We must do unsound things at Xs to reach our objectives...there is collateral damage.

The dedication is unreal....I've gone as far as I want to go in this current garden set up...I'm just kicking back and growing now...no pressure...barely steering the grows...taking my time....harvesting bigger plants...for better yields.

Well I'd say most the plants I grow....come from seeds/breeders I bought on the Boo/Bay....I'm sure I'm into thousands of dollars. I contributed that way I guess. I was hoping folks won't think of me as a bogart.

Here is a phenotype me no fancy...

Here is a phenotype me no fancy...

In between bantering here online and other morning chores (a me day kind of)....I've been gardening....had a little Friday harvest before the Friday Fun Run...

Faye Dunaway= ChemDD X Cindy Jones

I harvested this Faye at day 67 (in the background you see I-HOP Highend males exiled)

Just an "Off the top of my head" overview of this subject:

She stinks like her mom...even a pinch of larf bud can be smelled across a large room. That's a good thing.

She is a flimsy branched light yielder...her flowers are very typical of the mom I used which is great....but they are also the type of flowers that look heavier than they are....this is picked up off the "Deliah" phenotype ChemDD mom...I don't mind the flowers like this but the flimsy branches is a big negative and the yield blows (she needs either to thicken up or grow more flowers)

67 days is ok...but I prefer 55-60 for this cross...she is the longest flowering out of 3.

This will be potent...retard weed....just what the DR. ordered...a good thing. I know I will find Chem flavors...hopefully positively modified with the Jones/C99....very good thing

No nanners....makes it easier....1 of 3 developed nanners...all were heavily quasi defoliated...all were girdled entering flush...all were flushed for wks...the plant that developed nanners I think was sensitive to P blast (Kool Bloom Powder)....basically abused beyond the norm.

I won't progress along with this phenotype...unless the smoke is out of the park. Structure, finish X , and yield were all better on the sister I harvested last week at 61 or so. It is retard weed.

I wouldn't be comfortable donating beans from this phenotype...she is off and not a good selection imo....even though she will be solid smoke for your average joe...I'll end up eating the beans as part of my regular diet. Good for that.

The last one (the one pollinated with Satechism) is still happily flushing.

Man I appreciate that. Seriously I feel blessed to be able to grow like this and share with peeps who might understand the addiction I'm so inflicted with.

like the backdrop! get on at yer own risk,no finer words ever said! LOL looks like she will make some fine hash from the trim,i have a hard time giving up plants like that at times, sometimes that prissy low yielder ends up with the best smoking buds,i have that choice coming up soon, will need to thin the clone herd down a bit and toss the space wasters...that may mean flowering out the cuts and not keeping them around for another round as i hate tossing a plant i have invested time and money in,the smoke will be the deciding factor, got some great looking plants this round....but i have that sprouting fever again....

Me too. I was gonna eliminate my last 7 Heri's still in cups, but seeing as I had some room in the flower rm, i put 'em in. Might get a couple of budsicals! :D

Lol, I just flipped 3 days ago and it isn't a smooth-running space just yet. Still have a 600w MH conversion bulb in my tent, but once things get bigger, that'll be a flower rm too.
Running for takeoff! :skiiing:

After run session on the Indo Board...balance trainer that gives me a good core stretch....smoke some Faye crank Joy Division and Nirvana's Bleach...get crazy on the board....good good stuff having the house to myself sometimes.

On the subject of low yielding plants being the best expressions for head stash. I'd have to agree. But I don't believe it must be so....trying to prove that in my current transitions. Everything is about balance to me. Balance is strength. I think a lot about balance in my garden while I run...then I get on my board and grok it man....lol

btw....I've been smoking on a nugget of week old Faye....the quicker bigger one....super smoke I must say....has a hint of sweetness over the fuel...hangs in the back of the throat....metal like. The head is a wrecker...perfect for the Bleach album.

Juice...

Juice...

I'm showing a plant from beans made by PondeLftHndSide...

Super Tribal Jack= Super Jack X Tribal Vision

I kept her squat through Quasi Defoliation....she is 34.5" tall from coco surface to her top....girdled and flushing at day 56. Partially pollinated with Super Tribal Jack and Satechism blended pollen.

When I flush....the 1st wk the plants stay under moving light...in the 2nd wk they are placed on the perimeter and get much less light...I like to land them slow in most cases. Some plants flush longer than others but at least 10 days.

She is in her 2nd wk of flush...flowers are extremely tight....aromas are sweet and floral.....no signs of inter sex even under all the stress I'm forcing on her. She is pretty low key as far as cultivation....doesn't feed quick or seem to care much about anything....kind of a self absorbed plant content to do her thing.

I like her structure (thick branches)....like the tight flowers (didn't really expect that... I stayed in the dark on this one so as not to have expectations)...like her aroma...sticky small headed resin glands...plentiful. I probably timed my Defol wrong on this one...I could have gotten her just a bit bigger...she will yield well as is...but I can sense I could have hit her for more...I really thought she would have stretched more.

My thoughts were to add the beans I've made with her into my Affection Pool. I blended pollen because I didn't have much STJ pollen and plenty of Satechism....they will blend well.

As a point of interest....she and her brother were the only seedlings out of 20 or so..to survive the fan/light accident I had a while back...most seedlings were crushed and others spilled out.

What are you smoking P?

Some week old Faye bombing down the hill....good stuff

Making the bombs.....

Making the bombs.....

Early morning pollen collection....I've been sifting powder from 2 I-HOP Highend males and the 1 ChemDDIX1 male.

The pollen was collected (the above is some I-HOP HE pollen) and kept separate...put in containers, vac sealed, placed in tubber ware in the fridge.

1st collection....I can keep going back for more.

***Note

I'd like to show my respect to ClearBarbedFunk for making Straw Dog and for making Strawberry Hill. Those are the two crosses of his that I've worked with. Very well done and I highly recommend them to others.

I recently was able to access some more beans of his work...so just thought to give props back to the Funk man. Another dude who makes beans that I will grow without reservations or questions. I've now spread the Funk into my own concepts...

I kept the males pretty short with the quasi defol technique....plenty of sack laden branches...take up little space.

I plan to incross both lines into their next generations....and outcross a few subjects as well.

I-HOP Highend = Straw Dog f2 X Highend F2

I don't think you can lose w/ the I-Hop HE's for taste/flavor. Hope to be going down that avenue someday myself.
Have 5 Strawdog sprouts going myself. I've coveted that pk. as much as anything in my stash. :D Props on the CBF props! :tiphat:

Dem boyz lookin' good! :bigeye:
