reveg - and flowering again...

hi there!

i've got a leda uno, a bubblegum and apurple widow revegging for about 3 weeks (bg 5 weeks) under 24h 150 hps (i know mh would be better).
now i was thinking about putting under 12/12 again for filling up space.

is there a rule of thumb, for how long they should reveg to be put in flower again?

thx for putting yr 2 cents in!

Not sure about a rule of thumb for this, but I'd be inclined to wait until the plants show good strong vegetative growth with no funny leaves. Just like you'd (ideally) wait for seedlings or clones to get established before putting into flower.

You'll probably need to do quite a lot of thinning out too or you'll end up with loads of fluff where the lights cant penetrate properly.

No rule of thumb, plants recover & reveg at different rates. Once you have enough normal growth to support bloom again you're fine to bloom.

I generally cut both top & roots back before revegging after the plant has started to snow single leaf "veg" leaves again (the really distorted "reveg" leaves that start the transition back to vegetative growth). Like monkey says, remaining bud sites/etc will really fluff up, without pruning you can get a mass of vegetation that won't let light OR air through and can be a recipe for mold.

thx monkey, thxgeo!

only bg is showing those one-leaf-weirdos... she's a cut taken 5 weeks into flower and dong well... will be left in veg.
the other 2 were from seeds and were revegged one week after showing preflowers... those are vegging along nicely, no weird leaves. think they are to be put in bloom in about 2 weeks, after taking cuts from them. both are lsted for bushing up and their shoots have grown about 2 - 3 inches within the last week.

hopefully getting pix up this week.

thx again!

Whats up SEED! so im doing a re-veg atm with the aurora indica and it took about 2-3 weeks to show signs of new vegitative growth. I have had good success on keeping them under one 42w CLF until the new growth appear. Once you see new growth give a dose of VEG nutrients. If you keep some litte buds on her they will fluff out like GEO said, but they do more then just fluff. They act as if you supercropped it and you will have braches apon braches shooting out from those little buds. Now just pay close attention to them as you RE-VEG cause they can hermi... so keep a watch since there under a 150w hps. If you can you for sure wanna get some blue spectrum lights in there like some soft white cfls. just remember the new growth will appear at the bottom first and will work its way up.

Heres a pic of the AI so you can see what i mean.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

I have a question on reveg. I have three ladies due to be chopped in a week or two, they are in 5 gallon gro bags. Can I just cut the root ball back so that it is small enough to fit into a 2-3 gallon container and than re-veg, or should I re-veg first and THAN cut the root ball back?

Trimming the roots back at the same time will help stimulate new growth up top but trim too much and you can severely stress the plant.
