docgt: nice! i'll have to check out your thread's last posts--outstanding buds man. looks like your harvest will be nice. hmm, something different huh? dude, maybe it's time to go back to soil :canabis: hehe shit always taste better anyway imho lol

ok guys here are a few mama pics day 1 @ 12/12, enjoy!

you can see i did a little FIM'ing to let the bottom catch up with the top..

and will you looksy-here... the cherry is getting in on the crazy leaf formations!

completely different genetics than the dc crosses, from different seedbanks (cannacopia for dc crosses and reeferman for the trainwreck crosses). i've ran this for a couple years now, and had other friends run it too, and i've never seen the second tier leaf on her before i don't think. i wonder if something i'm currently feeding is just kicking ass--might be the bushmaster. amazing stuff. just go super easy on it... less than 1 ml per gallon. my bloom feeding schedule is further below (though i don't keep a calendar i just do it by feel; i'm telling you, if you want to know whether a plant is ready for water or food, say the question in your head and pretend the plant can hear you think--you will receive a yes or no answer if you really listen for it :smoke:):

have a feeling i'm gonna need a bamboo stake and a lot of ties to hold some of her branches up :canabis:

each plant gets about 1/4 cup or less of the Budswell Bat Guano, starting towards end of first week in bloom (first dose is more like 1/8 cup, as there is still veg nutes in the soil; don't lop on a bunch of bloom nutes when there are still veg nutes, imo... let them phase in so the transition maintains the same general level of food they are used to, until kicking it up later in bloom)

ok, rambling. lol so the bat guano about once a week or week and a half, depending on individual plant needs. i don't do a tea with the guano, i just put it on top, mix it in with the top layer of soil a bit, then water like normal (10-20% as much as normal for the very first watering after adding the guano, so it doesn't all drain out the bottom). as for additives, this run will look like this:

(i give them one last half dose of wormcastings a day or two before flip to get them through the stretch without becoming too yellow, then on their next watering a few days later do the half dose of guano and start the additives too:)

Bushmaster = .8 ml per gallon
Snow Storm Ultra = 5 ml per gallon
Kool Bloom = 2.5 ml per gallon

will pretty much stay the same throughout. i am keeping it simple on this one. I'll cut all nutes a week and a half before flip (good thing with organic nutes is you don't need to flush long, some say not even at all; they don't give you that harsh burn and black ash like synthetic stuff, imo) and start molasses, tablespoon per gallon to finish out. i usually use the molasses all the way through but my lazy ass hasn't made it to the store lol

see ya next time!

Haha thanks ;)

Those plants look healthy as can be, I like how all the tops are nearly the same height and lots of branching, should get some nice buds!

Do you find that the bushmaster helps with yield and making the plant grow laterally and get bushier?

What does the snowstorm help with?

thanks merlot, i am happy to see them in good shape. wasn't too long ago they were just fresh little clones.. :gaga: lol

oh, yes. the bushmaster is absolutely amazing. when i used "gravity" for the first time, as a final bud hardener for last 2-3 weeks (will probably do that this time too, forgot to say that), i was knocked off my feet--increased yield like a mofo. bushmaster is a different additive from the same company, and is also equally amazing. but very, very strong. just 1 ml per gallon or less. since i use a couple other additives and want to keep overall PPM in check, i take it back a notch or two. better a little less than a little more, as always with nutrients. but yeah, i suppose it it makes the nodes come out more and bush out instead of growing up.. online would give you the details. i just know what i've used and what works. :D

What does the snowstorm help with?

snowstorm is also by the same company as the bushmaster and gravity, and is for resin/trichome production. this stuff is great as well.

thanks for the post, hope that helps!!

chronbill: thanks man glad you are enjoying the show!! :tiphat:

Definitely better to have a little less then too much, sounds like you have some good nutrient techniques. Was reading up on the Humboldt line, some crazy stuff that gravity/bushmaster/snow storm.

May have to try a couple of them one of these runs, see the difference. Too many side by sides to be done, not enough time :p

Keep on rockin' khaleel! Look forward to some beautiful buds here~

hey K. ive read some posts by clackamas coot talking about gravity and bushmaster (im pretty sure) having the same ingredients and not listing the percentages. i have no idea ab this but he knows whats up. imo worth looking into. ive never used it but my local shop owner recommended it after a friend complained his "broccoli" wasnt "dense" enough. true story. i copped some from him and have it laying around somewhere. if you think it helps that much id be willing to give it a shot. 1ml a gal is pretty scant. im gonna hit the intrawebs to see what they say. catch you later

nameless: i don't know about brocoli, but it will make your buds put on about 30% or more in weight. :D

my friend, i don't care if gorges jervantes himself tells you to use 3-5 ml per gallon of either bushmaster or gravity, both should be used at 1 ml/gal or less. lol in all seriousness, be careful with that stuff even if a decades-old grower says to use more. the range on the bottle says 1-3 ml per gal. i use other additives and the bat guano too, so i kick it down to the lowest. i actually might even dial back the kool bloom a little too, as the dc's are looking right at the threshold (saw a little, little chem burn on the tips of a few.. barely on the tips, but enough to know they are getting plenty of food right now)

imho knowledge is fickle.. i only trust experience, and i know from first-hand experience if you use any more than that you just might walk in a week later to find your plants have turned a horrible yellowish hue and are dropping fan leaves like bird turds.. at that point the soil is locked out, the roots are toast, and your plants are dead. :bashhead: go easy and work your way up if you want to try them (which everyone should lol). thanks for the post, sorry for all the warning but a friend of mine just shat all over his harvest because he used more bushmaster than should have. don't wanna see that happen to anyone else.

merlot: many thanks for the compliments (finger's crossed it all works out..); lol and i hear ya--if only we could do side-by-side grows for everything we wanted to test in life. :D

doc: lmao dude all you have to do is click the "quote" button to quote someone in a reply.. lol ahh, computers. :smoke: great harvest man. some towering buds you have in your thread, def looking forward to what comes next. :respect: make sure you stop in and leave a post once it's up and going bro.

ok everyone, some more pics. things are picking up here at day 20 in bloom. think we might have a purple pheno or two on the dc crosses, but still pretty early to really tell. just can already see those tiny "black" tips on the leaves coming out near the flower sites. mmm. lol enjoy pics!

wish that would have happened for the viper and cherry, but oh well no sweat. got a good little veg room ready to go now so don't have to worry about any more clones for a couple weeks. still a couple viper's hanging out in the clone tray too just in case.

green: oh yeah everyone loves the purps! lol thanks for the compliments man, hopefully won't be long til i'm finally smoking some real herb again :joint:

ok guys, a trip to the store and a minor change in the soil mix. chunky perlite was $40 and regular was $20, and at the moment finances dictate economic efficiency so looks like i'm using regular perlite. lmao have to be sure to mix it in very thoroughly so it doesn't clump up... and it feels like much "sandier" or "loose" than with the chunky. thinking i may should have been doing this all along. we'll see on this run. there is a shitload more dust though, nasty stuff :nono:

transplanted the cherry haze and viper trainwreck mamas out of the cat litter containers into proper 5 gallon bags. looks like a lot of soil for the size plant, but the perlite ratio is pretty high so the stuff should dry out appropriately. i'll adjust fire as/if needed.

a little bit'o root porn :D

and here's a shot of the 3 new vtw veggies. just a day behind the others, so we'll get to see a good side-by-side comparison of perlite vs. no perlite. :dance013:

this lil gal has roots, but the top was starting to disappear. we'll see if she pulls through :skiing:

and finally... can't believe i waited this long to pick up lol
