Right here goes, after a very successful cloning attempt ive been left with to many plants, i didnt want to just throw them away so went out and bought 25 Air-Pots.

Placed said clones into there new homes and have given them 24hrs of light, last night was there first 12 hours of darkness.

Good morning ladies.

The last picture is a Dinofems blue widow at day 60.

Strains are Ak 48, Dinofems blue widow, dinofems critical+, and a nice bb cheese pheno that was well worth keeping.

Plants will be fed as needed not quite sure how much and when but the strength will be.

E.C 1.4 P.H 5.6 and rising E.C of .1 per week of flower.

Canna A + B Rhizotonic .

All the best BoB...

plants are on an E.C 1.5 ph 5.7.

The 4 at the back are AK and have stretched a bit more than the others,i may pinch the tops to slow them down a bit but undecided yet.

Hey Bob, I ran 3 10l, 1 6l and 2 3l Airpots, vegged the larger ones for a few weeks and then planted 2 3l pots on the switch to 12/12.
I think the plants grown 12/12 from seed in 3l pots were simply brilliant!.
Are you in 25 1l pots or higher? With the mad growth i would be wondering how to keep up with the watering!

Looking real good bob. I also just started using these airpots and am loving it so far. I have never seen crazier "shoe string" like roots shooting out of the bottom within a week of transplant. They are the future my friend

Hi Gaiusmarius.

Having spent a lot of time and failure on cloning,i felt it was something i had to improve on,

So i went to the local library and did some reading.

The last 2 attempts has seen me have a 100% success rate and as i said above, i couldn't throw them away.

The sog idea came from looking at "High Country,s" My Little sog goes 1000w" i found this thread fantastic and a bit of an inspiration.

Hi Azzazal

Plants are in 3ltr Air-pots, and im hand watering, At the moment the plants get 400ml every 2 days, i found this to be a good compromise between root growth and plant growth, although i expect this to increase in the future.

Hi Greenadian

At the moment there under a 400w M/H, around week 3 i will swap to a 400w son-t (orange) bulb until they finish.

Hi L-Immortal

Totally agree ive just downsized from 6ltr Air-Pots to 3ltr ones as i found the 6ltr to be over kill for my needs. Airpots are indeed the future.

How did you go about cloning? like what method? Im personally testing 4 methods at the mo to see which is best, Bubble cloner has the most sturdy results but cloning in rockwool is less successful if it works it works the fastest (in a humo dome.)

Let me know.

I use a small heated propagator £15

Place 1cm of coco in the bottom of the propagator and spray with an atomiser until moist.

take cuttings of plant.

soak some coco jiffys in nute solution of E.C of 0.5 poke a hole in the middle.

place clone under water and make your final cutting, then put clone straight into coco jiffy, pack some coco in the hole where the clones just gone.

Place clones in a 6x4 rows and with a little jiggery pokery you'll fit 1 more in, put lid on and wait until the leafs start to show signs that there suffering from hunger, slight yellowing open lid turn upside down and you usually have roots out the bottom and into the moist coco underneath.

Hi Arthur.
On average no more that 10 to 14 days max.

1x24w propagator light sat on top of lid.

Hi cheesy.
plants are in a 5x5 row which comes out at 96.cm/2 placed inside a 1.2m2 tent this gives me a little room to get in and water them.
400w mh then onto a 400w son-t orange to finish.

Around day 14/16 i will strip of all the fluff that i believe wont make it into buds, i usually start at the top count 6 or 7 nodes down, and every thing underneath gets removed.

Having never done a sog before im still in learning mode.

very nice setup, i didnt know you could clone fem seeds lol awesome

ok later keep up the good work

I'm also glad you had an over spill of cuts...ive always wondered how well they would do 25 per 1mtr sq and airpots aswell ..BONUS!! all the best with the run..have you thought about trimming out everything and just leaving a few nodes? anyhow im sub'd

I dont think it matters, as far as im aware you can take a clone of any plant.
The last lot of cuttings i took were from plants on day 56 of 12/12 and there fine, although they do stink a little.

dawgsbolloxs.
Im still undecided as to how much to trim off. About 6mths ago I felt compelled to join the defoliation debate, and for all its pro,s and cons, one thing I learnt very early on, is the lower leafs are very important for root growth during the first 14/16 days of 12/12, so for that reason alone there staying put,or at least until saturday/monday.

Looks nice in there, airpots look sweet. I am going to switch to coco next run to see how cool it is first hand. I like that you waited do pick off leaves till after stretch then you get nice light penetration. Pics will come this round, IC has taught me a lot so good job posting and I will be checkin back...NS

Hey Bob, if its any use to you upon arriving home last night I checked my Bubble cloner and found all the cutting had now rooted.

Your method sounds very fool proof, 10-14 days is a bit of a wait though.

But if it works it works right, I have one last question for you, the clones that root that you then pot, how long does it take your plant to take? (if you will) like do the old leaves on the plant die before the new growth or do they just take and grow?

you can take cutting off late flowering plants and they will normally root, but they take a long time to be re vegged. personally i try to take clones from vegging plants if at all possible, if not, then no later then 2 weeks into flowering.
