Help Anyone?

I am currently starting a seed under a 120 w bulb. The seed seem to be gaining progress has sprouted and sticking up straight. The only problem is the bulb is just a standard light bulb. I also have a flouresent bulb that is 14 w.

which bulb should i use 14w fl, or 120 w bulb that shows progress so far
?

The only reason the sprout is doing so well is because that 120 incandescent bulb provides mostly heat, I sprout my seeds like this. but the littl plant need light it can use now to produce food,

So I would definitely go get a few more CFL's or flouros so that the plant does not die.

To grow a 1 foot plant, you will need at least 60 watts of cfl or flouro and better would be 100 or more. You would flower at 6 inches or less. You need to read up fast as you planted before knowing the basics. If the plant can take it, you want the lights within a inch or 2 at the most after a couple weeks growing.

Correct, but trust throw the Incandescent bulb away.

Either HID (high intensity discharge) HPS(high pressure sodium) or MH (Metal Halide)

Or good old fashioned CFL's or Flouros ,

But Yesum is right its all about wattage and lumen's,

Better work fast.

Hi all.E.

For the moment you won t need HID lights weither it is hps or mh T5 ramp or turbo neons 2x55W will do(approx 10000 lumens).
this plant was started under turbo neons...



You could easily use this for all your veg time and it would even be easier for you,,, it ll leave you some time to go through books or threads in here at icmag to get to know how to grow MJ correctly,, then when you ll switch to 12/12 i strongly advice you a hid light or more depending of the size of your room and plant number.
By that time you should have figured it all out and know what you ll use.
