Drying....

I have read the drying an curing thread(s) but there were two questions I had, that i didn't see covered...(apologizes if i just missed them)

First, my options are either to dry in a very large room, or a small room(bathroom)....any advantages to one or the other (i assume the obvious which would be keeping the conditions stable in the smaller room, but i feel like i will be cramped, and the room will be FULL.)

Second, if I need to use a dehumidifier in the room to keep the % down, is this going to hurt my quality? I assume it would make them dry quicker, as the dehumidifier would by pulling moister from the bud as well as the air?

whats up Bgreen,

i think i might go with the larger room due to it may have more air for the plants to "breathe", better air exchange...

and the dehumidifier i might run in intervals at first if needed and realy monitor the plants and there rate of drying as well as the rooms rh...but as the days go on you may be able to boost the amount of time you run the dehumidifier to get them to the point your lookin for before curing.

i dont think it will hurt your quality as long as they dont dry too quick.

just hang some for a couple days in both rooms and see - darkness is your friend when drying, a little airflow helps too, but not too much or it'll get wind dried too fast

see which comes out more to your liking

Def go with the larger room. You don't want the room to be packed tight with wet buds trying to dry.

About the dehuey, if it's a must just keep close tabs on it so you don't dry the space out too much.

How high is the RH where you're at that you're considering running a dehumidifier? Most people need to bump the RH up during dry time to slow the process down, you seem to have the opposite problem?

It could possibly dry them out quicker & that's not good.
