Male ambush ?

Either the males snuck up on me 6 weeks into flower, or LSK (all it said on the bag, from amsterdam somewhere) is the wierdest looking bud ive ever seen ? Almost "thai stick" like

Im thinking males but wanted to be sure before i do what needs to be done.
Almost looks like a fern, defoiliated from the start so thats why theres no leaves. its like once i picked them they didnt regrow lol

Just took a good look in my room last night and since there are 3 of these in the room and they are all lemon skunk, so then by i gave them another couple weeks, couple people saw, no one said anything.
I thought balls didnt sprout any pistols, and there is pistols and balls here ? ahh idk It's been so long since ive seen a male, or started from seed !

Male or wtf and wierd looking bud ?

Well with those picture it is difficult to tell anything.
But the first pic looks like pre-flowers.

If you can post a clearer, close up picture of each plant it would be easier to say for sure.

Pre flowers usually look more like a boobie with hairs coming out the nipple than a nut or pollen sack.

Put up some clearer pics and we can give you a better answer but I would have to say (from the pics) that you have girls...

Fucking second opinion last night is throwing me off my game, cant have them be right and i leave them in there lol its like 3 1/2 feet tall by the way

If it is female i guess its moving up to a 5 gal from the 3..

If there aren't seeds in the pods it wasn't a male issue.

Normal pollinated buds don't look like that at all.

Yeah you might have gone crazy df'ing her but be patient because you have created a monster. She has bud sites EVERYWHERE!
When she goes into full flower she will fill out. Maybe you might want to encourage a little stretch if you have the room.
But I am really curious now! I would really like to see how she turns out. Check out this thread here, maybe even post those pics there, see what the guys say who are testing what you are doing.

Seeded buds don't look bad, they look bigger and some seeds are visible.

You are just growing REALLY shitty genetics. Like a seriously bad pheno of some landrace sativa.

Just chop it and try to smoke it as is while you start some proper genetics.

Defoliating works great on all of them, this strain is responding as you see, i may indeed need to break out the 5 gal and tomato cage but it may be too frail to support any real bud, idk.

I have 3 others growing great, a jack here x el nino cross, bubbledust, northern lights and then this LSK...

All others responding beautifully, will try to get some pics of them as well

Plant is not seeded, if its a male it would have been male from seed (how i started it), no males anywhere, just this suspect bastard

Yeah I don't df to that degree but I might from now on.

Some strains need height controlled more than others. So growing different strains under the same light can create some unpredictable results sometimes.

Hell I would go the 5gal and cage her. Be sure to keep her opened up so those lower buds get plenty of light too.

It's too bad that you started this thread regarding males: It would be a better thread and grow report about defoliating.

alright matey well looks similar to a strain i grew last year was told it was white widow bought the seeds of the net (see me coming)

xeasyx yea i had a strain that looked like that once, hot weather as well. I guess maybe this would have looked some what like that if mine had leaves.

I hate feeling that i created too many budsites and now it wont grow normal lol, put into the largest pot tonight, will cage it up in next day or two and see where it takes us...

the plant in the pics i posted was at 18 weeks flower i let her go fo 22 weeks it didnt look any better then.
I got fed up with it she was taking up valueble room so i bined it cos i smoked like shit .
anyway happy growing and stay lucky EASY

whodair - nice outdoor, tracked me over to there from this thread lol. Gotta love new york. Im gonna get a cage on her and let her run wild. Best thing in the room so far is a flowering clone of bubbledust i believe, its in one of those half gallon pots and has got some monster nugs. I gotta work on getting better pics, or starting a thread with all the trainings ive tried here. This room is crazy looking with 4 different strains, 3 from seed...decisions decisions on what to keep, we shall see !

AHHH ive been ambushed !! Oh yea and a few people here made the wrong guess (including me)

Well its 2 months since ive been back to this thread after thinking all would be ok....but boy was i wrong.

Not only did all 3 of these plants grow seeds (then chopped and removed) they contaminated about 5 other plants ! All of my other 5 plants became junk, smoked ok but seeds all over the place after they were perfect in the veg room and they were females upon going into flower.

Dont be fooled by too much defoliation like i was, always be cautious. These 3 were transsexuals ? (forgot the scientific word) And now i lost a full room due it it.

Now this brings me to my next problem.

I have 2 plants flowering in the same room where this all went down, after the males were removed, one of them is the best plant ive grown in hydro, great looking.....i was admiring it yesterday and i see it has a couple seeds.......just makes you want to break something, that amount of aggravation at that point after 3 months of work to have seeds in the bud. So after searching i cannot find what you need to do after a male plant pollinates the room.

Do i need to empty the room and bleach the floor ?
Where would the male pollen be, or should it have dissapated ?

Just moved up 6 more to the flower room and feel as though i have doomed them to death, they've been in the room for a week.

What to do to make sure i don't lose any more plants to seeding, due to room conditions ?
(talking immediate cleanup after incident, not prevention)
prevention is not growing seeds that someone 'says' they brought back from amsterdam and sticking with clones off good plants. So much for trying new things.

heat and humidity rapidly degrade the pollen, so I recommend foliar feeding the plant and any surfaces you can easily wet without consequence. the direct wetting and the rise in humidity should eliminate virtually all the pollen in that room, unless there is another male in there or maybe one of your strains is hermi'ing and spreading fresh pollen.

that plant looks like the strain from barney seeds {Dr Grinspoon}
