Pictures from the JTR cabin:

Sweet Deep Grapefruit is filling up nicely:

Ice Kush has a lot of leaves but last time it ended up really nice for its size:

This is the prego Cloud #9 from last time:

The bigger JTR in soil:

I got the screen of the 600 cab opened up a bit, the buds were way too close:
attachment.php

Its filled up pretty nicely:
attachment.php

I got the Cloud #9 in the DIY airpot (that is crap, i need to repot her into a normal pot ASAP) hit with JTR pollen. The 2 upper buds are X JTR2 and the lower ones are X JTR3 (the trifoliate)
I hope they'l catch, its pretty late to pollinate her.

I'm starting to feed much more lately to pump up those buds, and for that I'm using bottled water. Should get distilled water, or rain water if it'll finally rain.
I'll be upping the dose next week and up it up more the week after that.
I'm using Hesi nutes mainly but I'll change to BioBizz at the end to bring out the flavor. (BioBloom and TopMax that I'll give along with SuperVit, ATA Enzymes and Molasses. I need to finish those nutes SOMEHOW)

Thanks killer :)

I want to put some more clones in the 400W cab but don't have in hand, waiting for them to root.
That cab looks so empty compared to the 600W...

Quick update:
*The Sweet Deep Grapefruit has a few (10-20) seeds on the top of the secondary cola. Probably from the JTR trifoliate male that opened up a banana.
Its pretty great actually :)

*I've spread the screen in the Jilly Bean cab as wide as possible to let light shine further. The plants were too close to the light anyway.

*2x Jilly Bean #10 and 1xThird Dimension cuttings rooted today. I'll plant them pretty soon in my PC case to veg a bit and get topped and trained until the JBs finish and I'll have a cab to veg. in.
JB #10, #6 and #8 are my favorites JB#3 and #4 doesn't look as good (altough not bad at all!)
If I'll get some extra clones they will be put straight to the 400W cab to fill it up.

Things get really sticky in the JB room, can't wait until their done!

Cheers.

great setup! looks like you have tuned it in just perfectly....

I see your in Israel and excuse my ignorance but how are you dealing with the naturally high ambient heat temp, do you have A/C in the building or are you lucky to get away with just ambient air temp being low enough ?

My cab is usually like 10deg hotter then ambient, i can open a window and cool down the cab but i figure in a warmer climate thats not possible.

Its far from tuned, especially my 400W cab. But I'm working on it ;-)
After this run I got one more before I shut off for the summer, thats when I hope things will be dialed in.

Nothing ignorant about your question - I was asking it for quite some time.
I get by with 4 main principles in mind:
1. I use a 380cfm vent to exhaust the air from both cabins and a 300cfm vent to cool both cooltubes. I use the air from the cooltubes to warm my room at night (when the lights are on) and I get new air to the system all the time.
By separating the lights from the room I only need one carbon filter.
2. I make sure my intakes come from the bottom of the cab and my exhausts are from the top. Hot air goes up, right?
3. I got some fans moving heat from the lights upward and swirling the air around. Also helps against mold.
My construction also provide quite a bit air flow just due to negative air pressure.
4. I grow when ambient is below 30°C. Thats around october to early may if I'm lucky. I don't grow in the summer (after failing once too many). I might run a CFL cab just to keep my genetics but ain't gonna flower nothing serious.

A\C is too much electricity for me right now.

Right now my temps are around 23°C while outside is around 9°C. As the air is drawn from the window and from the room the intake is around 18°C as I use the lights to heat my room at night, with an extra heater running when temps drop too low.
Might sound high but thats for a 600W in a 1.2x0.6x1 meter cab and a lot of soil that fills that space. And my buds are very close to the light (15-35cm).

So around +4°C for me.

Took me quite some time to dial up my venting. Wish I had more space - I would have ran some more fans. On ran a bigger screen and bigger pots.

Problem is I can't close my window.
It can get too hot and humid real quick and the smell is AWFUL after a few minutes.
And thats after running through a 430cfm carbon filter with a 300cfm vent. A 4 months old carbon filter from the big kind!

Make sure your water is super cold and freeze your trim for a few hours before starting it.

The prego C#9 gave me 10 healthy looking seeds from the progeny with JB#5, and one that doesn't look too good and didn't want to keep the branch hanging only for this one seed.
The BM pollen didn't seem to catch and the JTR seeds needs another week or so.

I'm happy with my seeds, I got high hopes for them.
The C#9 was very stretchy and robust and JB#5 was VERY quick (a real plus for me :)) and very healthy as well.
The C#9 has a stony high, very numbing yet not the sleepy kind. Mellowing.
The JB I've sampled so far was very energizing and uplifting. Also no the sleepy kind.
I might pop a single seed and hope for a female in a few days, but I won't pop most this year.

just watched the video on how to make gumby hash , dude fonzee u need to get with the bubble bag program, gumby hash looks like it would take all day , the amount of ice you need ......., that shit aint cheap in the desert

looks like your breeding turned out nice, is it possible for you to ever do any outdoor , or too risky?....

It takes me 2-5 days, but its ain't that much doing in those 2-5 days.
I'll probably get some coffee filters on my next serious run to speed things up but the bubble bags are out too expensive for me - I don't make that much hash.
I use just 2 ice trays from the freezer and put my water in the freezer 1 hour before the process so its ultra-cold.
And ice is around 2.5$ for a pack, and you can do a 5 gallon run with that much ice with no problem.

I don't have a good location for an outdoor grow. Also, I got more than enough buds from my indoor grow so the outdoor would be mainly for kicks.

I've put a seed of my cross above in soil a few minutes ago and I'll start a separate journal for it soon. We'll see how good the cross came out to be :) (well, if it'll turn out to be a female...)

Some smell a lot like citrus some smell like oranges and some smell like skunk.
They are funky :)

JB 6 and JB 3 are way frostier than the others which makes me think one of them will be my keeper, if any.

I haven't done anything besides giving the 3D its last fertilized watering.
But yesterday was somewhat interesting:
I found 1 more seed in the C#9 branch that was XJTR.
attachment.php

(its way frostier in reality)

the 3D was pulled from the screen and the screen got rearranged a bit to make use of the space.
Its pretty damn beautiful and smells like lemon-candy. And its damn quick too! Sticky as hell!
However, its pretty small. Will need quite a bit of veg time to become productive.
I'll flush the crap out of her sunday night and will give her a week to finish up. Should be more than enough.
attachment.php

attachment.php

The Sweet Deep grapefruit was ready to be flushed, so I got it flushed well (around 80 liters of water) and finished up with a gallon of water with 1tbsp molasses and 1tsp of strawberry jam. (for carbs as well and in hope it would make it taste like strawberries...)
It had a few spots it turned purple, which is pretty rare in my setups.
Its REALLY frosty but not so sticky. The trichomes are HUGE on this one and a the bud leaves are crusted as well.
attachment.php

attachment.php

The Ice Kush doesn't grow too well as I've pumped the SDG thats in the same pot with a lot of nutes. But I'll keep it low from now on.
I got a lot of its leaves removed to prevent mold. This fucker will be one HUGE bud as it seems!

Also, I put in a Jilly Bean #10 clone. It just started revegging so I hope it would form a huge bud like the IK.
Just in case revegging it wouldn't make it branchy as fuck I've gave FIM a shot too.
Its in a recycled soil mix with the bottom of the top cup cut off.
It should help to fill up my 400W cab.
attachment.php

On another note, I won't be updating much (and probably doing much less as well) in the next month or so. Getting REALLY busy in life.
As for now, if I'm here writing it means I don't do something I should do.
But thats life :)

Cheers!

The 3D got flushed up with 25L of water and then watered with a bit of molasses.
Should be down pretty soon, it sure is ready.

I've swapped the lights between the cabs and cleaned the hoods up properly. Soon comes harvest!

Still got no idea which strain to keep. I'm thinking about the 3D as its REALLY quick.
The JBs doesn't seem any better than my JTR - they aren't as frosty, take longer etc. Might yield better.
I'm waiting to test the smoke properly and then I'll decide.
Seems like it'll be 2-3 small 3Ds and a lot of JTR in my cabs on the next run :)

Cheers :)

Well, not much time to update and all that.

I got 4 clones into the JTR cab lately, 3x JB#10 and 1x3D. The 3D will be for breeding purposes.

The 3D got chopped today and so did the SDG.
The SDG shows little purpling :)
The 3D got a root cut and stuffed into a -1L pot to reveg in.

I've rearranged the pc veg cab, repotted and stuff.

I gave the JBs a good watering \ flush with AACT as their last feeding and they'll get water and molasses from now on. Will go down in 10-14 days.

Got some baggies of trim to play with, just no time for that recently.

attachment.php

The one in the front and the separate branches is the 3D, the one in the back is the SDG.

Cheers :)
