I never saw that guy when I lived there, but downtown a guy has no leg, just a torso, and he likes to breakdance. I lived there for 29 years, I just moved to a more medical friendly place.

Ok, so let me share my favorite Cbus oddball, December 1999, cold as a mother fucker, I was in Larkins Hall at OSU, I went swimming, I ran around the upstairs track for about 30 minutes, I has with 2 friends from childhood, and we went to grab lunch, near Newport Music Hall and Import House, every has a parka, snow ski coat, or layered up with several shirts and hoodies. While we were walking, a guy comes into view like 50 yards away, he rounded a corner and that's when time stood still. The guy was wearing black leather skin tight pants, he is carrying the largest boom box I've ever seen. Think hip hop, 1984. Yeah...silver, two tape decks, no cd player...on his shoulder. He is coat in black leather skin tight, metal studs like Michael Jackson, he was listening to AM talk radio at full blast...yeah, AM talk radio.
Hold on it gets more weird. He had a emo gelled asymmetrical hair cut. It was only when I was within 20 feet, that I could hear what he was saying, not so much as 'saying', but what it sounded like, It was either an off tempo freestyle skat or he wanted to sound like the Tasmanian Devil, he sounded like he was having a seizure while walking upright..

Such a fucking weirdo, a lightweight goth outfit, in december, trying to skat, carrying a big ass radio.... I could not look away, we all just stood there, wondering if it was reality or did we just all just have the same hallucination..11/12 years later, he is permanently etched into my brain.

I hope Kraft doesn't end up being to embarrassed when all his skeletons come out. He is now the voice of Kraft, that is a big deal. I think they are taking a risk, but I wish him the best.

yes this is an awesome story, if only every homeless guy got this kind of opportunity the world would be a near utopia, but it is one great start that is for sure!

You seen this guy's teeth?
who cares what the guys teeth look like asshole. his teeth probably look like that because he was a drug addict. should he be punished his whole life because he did drugs? when i was 19 years old i was drinking roughly 2 pints of whiskey a day and smoking heroin and living on the street. by the time i was clean i had squandered many years of my life and had virtually no work history. i finally found a job and worked for a guy that was an ex-coke user and knew exactly what i had been through. today i make more money than most people i know, own my home, car, etc. and am well off. thankfully someone took a chance on me while everyone else doubted what i could do, and i'm sure when i kicked dope and hard drinking i looked like complete shit too. now i look like a regular healthy person and no one even knows what i did as a kid. i tell people my story and they look at me wide-eyed and surprised. give the guy sometime. a couple visits to the dentist (i'm sure he is seeing one if he is the voice for kraft) and you wont even know he had dope teeth. a couple more months after eating regularly and not living on the street and im sure he'll look alot different. living on a streets takes a toll on your body even if your sober. believe me. its not an easy life.

also we forget a lot of these people are on the streets are people too. a lot of them have just fell on hard times whether its drugs, lost there job, etc. a lot of these people didn't see themselves there. no one wants to be the crazy guy holding the sign asking for money. shit happens. when i was 12 i would of never thought i could do drugs. never. give the guy a break and lets see what happens. stop putting the guy down before he even has a god damn chance.

woah, lets not take shots at public figures so personally.

I bet nothing was wrong with michael jackson's nose either...

I mean, look. The guy has problems. Why does anybody's child who is sitting down watching cartoons have to listen to this guy try to sell them some cheese?

Give him a job pushing paper around an office and pay him a fair salary and leave him be. If he does his job there, great. Now lets talk about promotions.

guess im just an a-hole

no one is forced to help him so if someone does why do you care? it doesn't effect you at all. just be happy for someone. if he makes it good for him. hopefully he does. if he doesn't then to bad. at least in 2011 people are still willing to give someone a chance. seems like something of the past sometimes.

what do you mean it doesn't affect me?

I'm going to subliminally want to buy Kraft Singles because some homeless guy who has been panhandling by the highway is gonna guilt trip me into going to the store when I hear his demonically charming voice.

and my kids, too!

I just have to say this to anyone who says they can't find a job:

I am 20 years old - have a short and unreliable work history and have got 2 jobs in the past year, and my friends consistently find jobs within a week or two of quitting/losing theirs...no matter if they are 17 or 25.

If you can't get a job, stop bitching on ICMag about it and apply to some shit jobs where you get payed $7/hour to be taken advantage of and treated as disposable as the paper towels you dry your hand with...

YOU COMPLETELY OVERVALUE YOURSELF if you can't find a job. I don't care if you used to make $60/hour to eat candy and open e-mails and working at McDonalds for a day STILL gets you less pay than an hour at your old job...If the economy is 10 times as bad, you better work 10 times as hard.

Corporate America thrives on this mentality.

They feed off of the youth who is willing to work dirt cheap.

In exchange, you sacrifice the best years of your life.

So when you turn 30, and you realize how shafted you've been getting by your $10/hr job, you start using cocaine.

And then you smoke crack and become homeless.

And then Kraft gives you a job where you can put food on the table, which you don't want because you'd rather be smoking crack.

Too bad you didn't enjoy the best years of your life and get to work when you're older getting paid a respectable wage thats offers a fair amount of freedom and luxury time.

You couldn't if you wanted to, because there is some 17-25 year old punk who will work for $7/hr.

But hey, at least YOU are taking home $60 a day after taxes, right?

i seen the .video leak where the guys come up to him and say ima make you work for this dollar.i remeber thinking these dicks.and he dose the radio voice.24 hours later this dude is big.then i though if those dude never put that vid online he probply still be there.shows you god is good and even the worse of us can be reborn.god is good glory be his name.peace

well, I stopped paying much attention after I heard about the coke, crack, and the guy who found him gave him $20 and that was "just as thrilling" to him as all the notoriety that came later.

definately missed the part about being clean 2 years.

still think I deserve a job and a home more than that guy. probably just the dr. Evil in me (wimpy voice)

LOTS of people on this site are ex-junkies....are they worth nothing? Not all of us are miserable downers, so if you don't like the fact that some of us have big hearts....take off.
