Hi guys. 21 days into flowering today, one of my plants is looking pretty rough. I fed her water/nutes with a pH of about 6.0-6.5. The leaves are spotted with brown and curling upwards.. When I first fed I didn't have any pH up or down so the FF nutes made the pH drop into like the 4.0 range. I thought it was looking rough because of that low pH I fed her, but now a few days after correcting my pH to 6.0-6.5 its actually getting worse.. I'm starting to see it on some of my other gals too.. I've read it may be cal/mag but I'm not sure and I'm not even sure what to do if it is cal/mag deficiency.. A little help is really appreciated.

I would say its ph issues.

Feeding them ph 4.0 is what messed them up, even if you fed them 6.0 - 6.5 the next watering. When growing in soil, it takes a while for a plant to recover from ph issues and also the onset of effects from a 4.0 ph watering may be delayed.

I would recommend you water with ph 6.5 until the runoff measures 6.0.

Hey I appreciate the fast comment.. I knew I shouldn't have fed them anyway :/. As long as I continue with a stable pH from now on should I expect her to pick back up and get on track or what?

i'm with the caveman

your ph problems have more than likely caused some sort of nutrient lock out. get your ph back on track and you should be fine

Thanks a lot. :tiphat:

I watered them tonight. They are in 3 gallon bags,I watered them with 1 gallon of water ph'd to 6.5. The run off in the 1st 3 was 6.0. The last 4 was around 5. Is this normal? I was guessing that it was washing the acidic/alkaline? (not sure) stuff out from the low ph I fed it?

I fed on tuesday with the week 3 FF nutes.. Its Saturday and I fed with just water.. I figure This Tuesday I'll feed them the week 4 FF nutes. So its feed, water, feed, water. That smart or what? I'm using a 400w HPS and they weren't too dry today but they were dry enough to where I could water.

Here are some pictures of the more healthy ones.. Hows this look for day 22 flower?

the water your using is it tap water? I stopped using tap water along time ago for this exact reason. On your next run try using some R/O water. With R/O water you have to add cal/mag at 5ml per gallon. You will see a huge diff in plant health all the way threw veg to harvest. Good Luck. LL

def no expert, but from what I've read, ff soils and nutes are kinda hot to begin with, maybe refrain from nutes till the plants tell you they need it.

I've been using R/O water since the beginning. :tiphat:

yep...i think that will be ok...i usually feed on the third watering...when they get about 3 weeks from the end, i just give pH adjusted water.

they'll bounce back.
