Taking PH before or after mixing in beneficial?

Hey All,

I was reading somewhere on a Canna bottle or website, or hell maybe a misinformed thread, that you should FIRST add Canna COCO A/B to water, then take PH and adjust it to 5.8~, THEN add everything else.

Any truth to this? I usually measure and adjust PH after EVERYTHING is mixed up.

My nutrient line as as follows:
Canna COCO A/B
H&G Roots Excelerator
H&G Drip Clean
Great White Mycorrhizal Beneficial Bacteria

And in flower, i substitute the TE and GW with bloombastic.


Any help or advice would be appreciated!

With House and Garden A and B, you add A to water. Mix. Wait around 15min. Then Add B. Wait at least 15min. PH that mix. Then, add your other stuff. And don't check again. I found it hard to believe myself, but that shit works great! lol

where did you get that info i have been using H and G coco for a little while now and it has be ok but that sounds like a critical step im missing

obviously a lot of you have never used H&G, in the nute schedule they tell you to PH after you add A and B

it says "after adjusting PH add appropriate stimulants. ph may lower after adding stimulants, this is a natural process due to the live microbial nature of the stimulant and will correct itself within a few hours"

PH moves for several hours. This is why you should check and re-check if you are using a reservoir. I really don't care what it says on the bottle of H&G. If your media PH swings to high or low you will have PH issues.

technically its not on the bottle, its their schedule on their website... but whatever floats your boat.

i've been using HG following the chart to a T and it has done me great so far..

edit: and i also feed my plants with my nute mix pretty much immediately after it is mixed up to no ill effects so far.. when i had a problem it was due to being rootbound and me not being able to keep up with watering the plants enough (within 24 hours they were completely drying out on me)

The ph is so stable anyway. You rarely ever have to adjust. On a different note, you must try shooting powder! That stuff is fun!

I PH as well using HG LAST step ....the roots and multi can drop your ph from 6 to high 4's using RO water...it scares me to poor that on my girls
